Mur Lafferty’s “Heaven” is now available; plus: Gen Con!

Hi everyone —

I've got a few things to report today!

New world: Heaven

I’m happy to report that we’ve just launched another of our Kickstarter-funded worlds: Mur Lafferty’s Heaven.

Heaven is adapted from the first book in Mur’s “The Afterlife” series of novels. It poses the question: what would you do if you made it into Heaven and found it… well, boring? Would you be content there, or would you leave and explore other afterlives? Heaven offers players and writers something rather unique: a vision of the hereafter as a place for exploration and adventure.

Heaven is available immediately to all backers who selected “The Deal” or a any higher reward tier, as well as to users who have purchased The Deal directly from our site.

Storium at Gen Con

We’re running “Storium Live” again this year at Gen Con! This time around, our esteemed panel of player-novelists will include Mur Lafferty (author of the aforementioned Heaven), Maurice Broaddus (author of the Storium world Harlem Godfathers), Richard Dansky (author of the Storium world Squatchtown), and Karen Bovenmyer.

Proceeds from this event will once again go to support Patrick Rothfuss’ Worldbuilders, a charity that harnesses the collective passion and power of readers, writers, and book lovers to make the world a better place. Additionally, you‘ll be able to influence the story that our players tell by making donations during the game session itself.

We’re hosting this event in cooperation with the good folks at the Gen Con Writer’s Symposium, one of the largest and fastest growing professional events for speculative fiction writers in the world.

If you’ll be at Gen Con, we hope you can stop by. You can sign-up for the event here!

Thanks for the update, Stephen! I've only recently started actually getting involved with Storium games, and I find it a fun and unique approach to cooperative storytelling games. Well done, all! :)
