This project's funding goal was not reached on June 28, 2013.
About this project
You want to be the most acclaimed of movie producers. The only way to do that is to collect accolades from your industry. To reach this goal, you are going to have to make some pretty good movies. Unfortunately, your fellow producers are onto you, and they want to beat your box office star power. However, if you can collect five awards for Best Picture, you will be inducted into the Producer's Hall of Fame. Can you artfully produce five of the best movies ever made?
This game is a quick fun game with basic math skills required, adding and multiplying numbers by two is required to play this game.
When we invented this game, we designed it to be a fun game for movie buffs, but also discovered that there is another part to this game. It can help children with basic math skills. If you play with your child, and only allow them to gain their awards with the winning score if they can actually add up their own star power.
The three decks are shuffled individually and placed in separate stacks. Each Producer is dealt five Actor Cards. This represents the Producers actor friends. During the game play you can put the actors in your movies. The Producers are allowed to look at their hand. However, they should keep their hand secret from all other Producers.
One Title Card is drawn from the Title Deck, and placed face up in the center of the table. Then one Scene Card is drawn from the Scene Deck, and placed face up on the table. The Title Card and Scene Card represents the movie that all players are attempting to make for this Award Ceremony Season. Players then select three Actor Cards from their hand and plays them face down. This represents the movie's cast. When all casts have been laid down, players place their hand down and reveal their cast. The person with the highest star power in their movie wins the award for Best Picture this Award Ceremony Season.
Once the award has been handed out to the best picture, all Producers draw back up to five cards from the Actors Deck, because in Hollywood it's all about who you know.
Play repeats until the game is won.
Monkey Finger Games is the recent venture of Eric Bryan Seuthe II.
Eric Bryan Seuthe II was a huge fan of games since he was a little child, he always tried to make his own board games, and video games but never really made anything out of it because of his split attention. Now later in life he is joined by his lovely fiance Monica Scott, who encouraged him to finally delve into his creativity.
Years later, Eric Bryan Seuthe II is ready to bring one of his card games to the general public.
We hope that this is the first of many games to be released under the "Monkey Finger Games" name.
The art for this project was designed by an amazingly talented lady by the name of Rebecca Share. Thanks to her amazing talents this game will leave a lasting impression on it's players.
These stretch goals are included with any pledge that specifically lists that "BASIC" stretch goals are included. These are the bonuses that I will pay for out of my pocket if the project is successful enough. Don't cry for me though. I want to sell more items! Woohoo MONEY!

Risks and challenges
"The Award Goes To" has been designed, drawn, illustrated, play-tested, and is completed to the best of our ability. The stage that remains is manufacturing. So far I have shouldered the costs of the artist and the construction of the play-test sets of the game.
However, Monkey Finger Games, is a new company. Like brand new. That is going to worry some people. We understand that. While Monkey Finger Games is new, it's part of Five Fire Monkeys Entertainment, which has been around since 1999. Five Fire Monkeys Entertainment however has never been a professional company. In this light we have provided answers to some issues we believe people will worry about. If anyone has any additional questions, feel free to post them in the comments, we will address them, and copy them to here to help people with any hesitations.
If this meets it's funding requirements will it really ship?
Yes. Is the short answer. We have calculated the costs of this project, and after the wait periods the money goes straight to the Manufacturer. Funding goes straight to pay bonuses to the artist, and manufacturing as well as costs. The game will be made, printed and sent out to the backers, all it needs is to be funded.
PROBLEMS WITH MANUFACTURING:
What happens if there is an issue with Manufacturing?
We are aware that problems can happen with Manufacturing, but we have taken this into consideration. We have personally picked a company that we own several games Manufactured by this company, we believe in this company and trust that they can get the job done. However in light of any issues that might occur, we understand that the best way to keep the project on track, and meet our deadlines are to make ourselves personally available 24/7 to our Manufacturer.
We want our stuff, when you promised it?!
We get that. We understand it, and our second priority is closing this out on time, quality being our first priority. We can't prepare for all issues, but we've taken general problems into consideration when choosing our ship date. It's our hope that we actually ship the game much faster. If the worst case scenario occurs, I can promise that there will be complete transparency in regards to the roadblocks preventing us from delivering your game.
How are you shipping the pledge rewards?
We are currently planning to ship our fulfillment items through USPS. While we would like to ship internationally we have yet to decide how we will ship, how much shipment will cost, and who we will use to ship the items. Unfortunately backers will not be able to choose what service we use, however if anyone has a comment, or suggestion and wants to be heard, feel free to post it in the comments, and we will do the best to address it. It is your copy of the game after all.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
