Welcome to The Pros, an absurdist spy thriller about four unlikely strangers who become spies for an insurance company, exploring the weirdest corners of our world for fun and for profit. This Kickstarter marks the release of our 4th issue, the final chapter of the first volume. New to the series? You can get all caught up right here.
The completed volume 1 (88 pages) tells the story of The Pros on their first mission: investigating a standoff between a belligerent squad of FBI agents and a gun-worshiping cult named America. Stuck between the rigors of corporate efficiency and their own fuzzy ethics, The Pros have to face all the hard questions: How can they save innocent lives? Can they even keep themselves out of danger? And where's the best place to get a sandwich around here, anyway?
It's like James Bond meets The Office, maybe, but a little weirder than that. Check out The Pros for some unforgettable characters, big action scenes, and goofy satire. Oh, and The Pros is for mature readers only.
Want to check it out for yourself? You can get a free copy of issue #1 by signing up for our mailing list, or read some sample pages right here.
Unlike many other comics on Kickstarter, all the art and lettering for all four issues of The Pros is already 100% finished and ready to go. All we need is your help to get this story off to the printer!

Where is my money going?
The first order of business is to pay to get the latest issue printed by the wonderful folks at Print Ninja. Based on estimates and previous campaigns, that will take up about half of our $2500 goal. Based on my previous Kickstarter campaigns, the rest of the goal is used for creating the rest of the rewards, plus shipping, Kickstarter fees, and contingency.
First of all, The Pros is committed to paying a professional page rate to all our collaborators. Everyone has been paid up-front except for Steve, the writer. We'll be able to pay him in full when we reach $4000. And along the way, we have some swanky stretch goals to make the comic even nicer for you, which we'll unveil when we get close to our goal.
Thank you for checking out The Pros!

Risks and challenges
This is our fourth Kickstarter with The Pros, and by now we have a pretty clear idea of what we're doing, how long everything takes, and how to do production and fulfillment. In all three of our previous campaigns, we finished with every order shipped and almost all rewards delivered on schedule. Plus, the art is already done: as soon as the campaign closes successfully, we're off to the printer.
Tragedy could always strike — this is a comic about insurance, after all — but I like our chances.
