Hey y'all, I made a record. It's a really personal one for me and includes a lot of songs I thought I'd never share with anyone. It's the most heart felt and genuine work I've done - that's not a ploy, sincerely it's the first time I've written truly for myself. I had the album mastered for vinyl by Alex Deturk (David Bowie, Emily King, D'Angelo) and can't wait for everyone to be able to have their own copy of it because he did an amazing job!
This album features a bunch of amazing Nashville writers, musicians, and vocalists including: Shannon Lauren Callihan, Heidi Byuck, Leah Blevins, Graciela Jean, Fawn Larson, Julia Cannon, and Sissy Dinkle. The band was rounded out with my good friends Pete Eddins, and Ben Handel.
"I think this may be the most overtly politically colored lyrically than recent projects, and honestly it’s rare track counts are under 48 let alone 16! I really enjoyed the minimal track count and deliberate instrumentation and arrangements. My goal is always to maintain the emotion and get the songwriter’s story across. I wanted the voices to be the premier focus and keep those as rich as I could while building out a wide soundscape that hopefully has some three dimensionality to it." - Matt Shane -Grammy Award Winning Engineer (Elvis Costello, Dashboard Confessional, Flight of the Concords)
I've got a bunch of new goodies that I've never done before like this hat -
You'll of course get to hear the record before anyone else and won't have to sort through a bin to find it
Maybe you want a fun t-shirt?
There's tons of different options for fun things. I'll cover whatever song you like, give you a virtual guitar or songwriting lesson/consultation, or come and play in your living room!
Best of all is you will get exclusive updates, videos, discussions, and interviews found no where else!
Ok, I feel gross now, enough trying to sell myself for today... byyyyyyeee
Hey International friends, family, fans, and general good people of the universe, I'm sorry the shipping rates suck. I did quite a bit of research on it before setting the prices. Your best value is to buy a pack as I'm setting the shipping the same (I'll probably lose some money on it, but it's a small price to pay to make you all happy)
Or you can snag a postcard to support me and stream the album like mad when it releases.
If you wanna read about how expensive it is to ship vinyl from the States, let alone anything else, check out this link. Peace!
Risks and challenges
Vinyl is really expensive to make. I've already invested my money on the front end to get it ready to go to the pressing floor. Pre-order the album will help me to not have to be able to press a high quality version of the recordLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
