To every supporter of A Home Called Your Own,
Thank you so much for your support of A Home Called Your Own! This week, the book finally comes out on Monday, November 12th at the opening night event from 7-9 PM at Goldy's Corner in Boise where I wrote part of the book. If you're a local supporter, I would love to see you there, and please invite friends and family so they can experience the story too! We'll kick off the opening night with a rousing speech by book endorser and international motivational speaker, Vincent Kituku, who helped shape the story and bring it to fruition, and I will also speak for the first time about the book and the long road to publication. I'd love for you to come join us!
The following day on Tuesday, November 13th, I'll hit the road for a week-long book tour and I'd love to see you at one of the events. There is nothing more special than saying thanks in person :)
Please reference the attached flyer for book tour dates, times, and locations. 16 cities. 13 days. I can't wait!
Today I just got a message from a girl I've never met before who is traveling through Europe and heard about the book from some Germans while she was staying in a hostel! I'm almost at a loss for words, it makes me feel all crazy sorts of good inside!
Her note was a wonderful reminder of the joy (and challenge) of spreading the word. Here's what this all boils down to: in about a month, people in the media are going to be making the decision as to whether they will feature the story in my book. I feel completely ridiculous saying this, but if you would be willing to "like" my author page on Facebook that would be a massive help! While I personally don't like to give much attention to the numbers, they're what the book is ultimately going to be measured against when reporters are deciding which books to feature. Your "like" will really help spread the story! Thanks again for all of your support!
