@Cubeo Thanks for the additional information. I'd love to read Sherwin's comments myself, but his profile is private, so they are hidden. Unless you are willing to scroll through all the comments looking for what he says.
I did not notice variety of hunters in the video. I'll watch it again.
Great if the content comes in modules like this expansion ypu are not overwhelmed on your first mission. I like this way pf handeling the contend.
Reiterating what SFG Sherwin said earlier:
@All to be clear, Forge and Hammer is the name for the expansion you've already unlocked through the Stretch Goals. You've already got it as part of your Seeker pledge for free!
We'll be letting you know the others you've accessed going forward in updates, along with any others you hit as further Stretch Goals get unlocked.
I too would love to see how more of the game mechanic work.
Nice update. But I think it's important that we see all of these components displayed/listed on the main page along with their respective stretch goals... and I hope we'll get a lot more detail before the campaign is over... including a full (minimum) list of components in the core game and in all the expansions.
"terrain placements" ? please explain. extra things added to tiles for cover or movement barriers?
It would be nice with concrete cards/tiles/game mechanics instead of saying there is 6 more. there could be a 100 more. But for it to be meaningful. we need more detail.
Fantastic update SFG!! Good quality content!
Thank you! These are the kind of updates we need to be seeing in between SG announcements, but we need a lot more detail like this to keep backers interested.
Absolutely cannot wait! ❤️
As for the variety in hunters, it is basically different cards in the deck and it is quite visible in the playthrough video I think. Also, there is older comment from Sherwin, mainly this part:
"Although glory is generated by landing the killing blow on machines, it isn't the only way to generate glory. Several of the Hunter cards generate additional Glory after meeting certain conditions non-dependant upon killing machines. There are traits which do the same, the Oseram Forgesmith being a great example - this hunter generates Glory Points by applying the fire condition to adjacent machines with the Tripcaster or swings of his massive hammer. These bonus points are typically associated with the playstyle of the hunter. The Carja Warrior generate additional glory points for attacking models suffering conditions, the Banuk Survivor for scrapping cards from their discard pile, the Nora Outcast by removing components."
Which also shows a difference in how you play each hunter.
A bit confused on why you seperate the ravagers from the other enemies. Is this set up like Lancehorn, Charger and Glinthawk are normal enemies and the ravager(s) are only at the end as a sort of boss encounter?
Thank you for your amazing work! The Forge and Hammer Will be a SG or an ad on?
Nice update, but I'm pretty sure that if this were stated earlier you would've kept the huge numbers of backers that you had lost and the completionists in us would've drove the campaign forward as opposed to how everything was going backwards previously. I hope this is the start of the campaign getting back on track.
Thanks for the update! Sounds really good and can't wait to have the game in my hands :-)
If you're organizing the stretch goals into expansions, then does that imply that after the Kickstarter ends you plan on selling the stretch goals as expansions to the base game?
It is a SG, but one we already unlocked. It is basically few of the SGs we already unlocked packed together.
I am afraid it does not clear up my questions. I assumed the SGs came with cards, so saying they did does not help much.
You say we have unlocked Forge and Hammer, but I do not see the 6 Map Tiles listed as unlocked SGs. Can you confirm that we have unlocked the map tiles? It's great to have new map tiles, they are a nice surprise.
Back to your point about questions, simply telling us we get cards and tiles does not answer the questions backers have raised about game play:
How do new weapons/heroes add variety to the game? (For example, in Z:BP, there are an over abundance of heroes, but all you do is roll handfuls of dice and kill all the zombies; heroes are just extra plastic.)
How do the map tiles add new game play? Is there a new mechanic, other than following the route on the map? How does terrain affect game play? (In The Walking Dead No Sanctuary, there are loads of map tiles; although they are different arrangements of indoor and outdoor spaces, and very different art, they add nothing to game play).
What is it about the way a Glinthawk behaves that requires new tactics? What new tactics are made available to us? Why don't these new tactics work against other machines?
Previous updates just said here's "new plastic". Now you are saying, "here's new plastic, cards and map tiles." But without tell us how the game works, and what is on the cards, we are still in the dark about the game.
Honestly, I get the impression this just a move and attack game like Zombicide, with the monsters wandering in circles. Please explain the game and show us the depth, if it exists.
Really good update!! But still impatient to see where those dam corruptors are :)
I don't see this mentioned anywhere - Is this going to be included in the Seeker pledge?
@SFG - would like to suggest update visuals on the SG track, like next to a hunter picture "this also comes with extra bla bla bla" or "+cards, etc". Might make it more appealing to people since they can more easily notice the amount of content they'll receive :)
Thank You for the update
Thank you for this update! This is exactly the type of information I've been waiting to see, and I hope it's the first of much more to come. I was wavering about dropping down to a $1 pledge, but this has helped reassure me significantly.
Excellent - really like this structure! I guess the one question I have is what happens if we don't unlock all the SGs that make up a given expansion?
This is exactly the type of update that was needed, and answers some specific questions I had. I am glad to hear about all the new game content, and am even more excited than before to see what is coming next!
Awesome update! Would love to see more on the mechanics but I really like seeing more tiles included in the expansion.
This is more like it! Lots of content in there. Thanks for letting us know.
Awesome stuff, keep up The Great work
This is a much better update, please more information of this quality.
Tell us about rules, components, gameplay - you're selling a game, so for the love of Gaia, present the game and make us interested in it.
Now thats a damn good update :D
Thx so much for this update... Sounds awesome...
This is the update I think a lot of people were looking for! More tiles, more mechanics, and explanations of the minis! Glad I stuck around and will back to the end!
Thanks for the much anticipated updates!
Glad to know there will be additional tiles with this expansion :) can I assume that they will currently come with all pledges (as the other SGs making up the expansion have already been unlocked?)
Awesome. Thanks for the update. Glad there are some new game boards included. Keep the updates coming! :)
Great update, keep these up!
