A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.

Well, not in the "we're a religion" or "we're doing dangerous stuff" sense.
We are a culture of monster-loving folks; our only secret goals are 1) try to be a positive/creative force in our Rangers' lives, 2) get folks to do MAKE more crafts and arts, and 3) make Steam Crow wildly successful so we can continue to do #1 and #2.
We're more "Monster Imagination" than we are true Cryptozoologists, though we certainly have many of the latter in our ranks.
Anyone can join the Monster Rangers, and it doesn't cost anything at the moment.
We are Dawna & Daniel Davis, a wife-husband team who run the Monster Rangers under the Steam Crow Brand.
Thank you for playing with us.
Risks and challenges
This is our 7th Kickstarter.
Sometimes things can go wrong, but we're veterans of Kickstarter and making Monster Rangers stuff... and we'll adjust along the way.
We've worked with all of the suppliers for this project, and the art is done on just about everything, except the HANDBOOK, which we're working on right now. But, we should have it done by the time the campaign finishes, and we don't expect it to delay anything. (The book will only take 3 weeks to print.)
In any case, these Kickstarters (basically YOU) are important to us, and we intend on delivering as our reputation (and your satisfaction) matters.
