Frequently Asked Questions
What are the specs on these tiles?
All tiles are digital battle maps saved as jpegs. Maps were originally created at 2048 by 2048 pixels making them fairly large. This size will enable users to zoom in without losing too much quality. Files are between 1 and 2 megs per tile so they won’t use too much space in a limited asset library.
What about the grid?
Tile grids are 12 squares by 12 squares. Each grid square is scaled to 5 feet by 5 feet, but there is some wiggle room. If a GM wants to say they are 10 feet squared it should work fine.
Is there a complete list of all the tiles?
The tileset incorporates 20 open plan tiles that offer lots of opportunities for a GM to pepper in assets, 14 kinds of corridors to get from room to room, 10 variations of chasms (watch that fall damage), and the rest are more complete rooms. I tried to leave space for characters to move around without leaving the tiles so featureless as to be boring. Hopefully, I got the recipe right.
How are the Kickstarter funds being used?
Kickstarter funds will be used to create more projects like these. As long as the gaming community can back me, I’ll keep creating games, rpg maps, and supplements. I want you to get a great reward and I want enough money to keep working on games. Hopefully in the future, we will have enough money to print and distribute physical rewards.
Do these tiles come with additional assets?
At this time I do not have any assets for sale. Only maps. I am hoping to create my own assets soon. There are many vtt stores where you can purchase assets (you may even find them on kickstarter from time to time.)
