Yes, World of Grimm will always be free and have zero cost of entry.

Can I pay for better cards?

No, our game is not pay-to-win. We have cosmetic "variant" art that can be purchased in game that lets you change the look and feel of the card but does not give the card any new stats.

What am I backing with this Kickstarter campaign?

You are backing the next great digital CCG, World of Grimm. When successfully funded, your generous pledge will grant you access to the Kickstarter Closed Alpha of the game as well as many other benefits. Depending on which Stretch Goals are met, the release may contain content outside of Brothers Grimm as well as some ways to really make this game shine. Please see more questions and answers about the release further down in this section.

Can I get more than one set of the Kickstarter Variant Booster Pack?

Yes, extra booster packs are available as an Add-On Reward so you can give the redemption code to a friend or loved one.

What makes you different from Marvel SNAP or other fast-paced CCGs?

We have some similarities to SNAP and games like it because we are influenced by it. Our team really enjoys Marvel SNAP, and we have used the "good parts" of SNAP and combined them with some elements of Hearthstone, MTG, and Majora's Mask. We believe we have perfectly the recipe for the perfect digital CCG.

When will my card be charged?

With Kickstarter, your card will only be charged at the conclusion of the World of Grimm Kickstarter campaign when our base funding goal is met.

Can I upgrade my pledge or add additional items?

Yes! You can make adjustments to your pledge during the duration of the World of Grimm Kickstarter campaign. We will also be accepting late pledges on Backerkit sometime after the campaign ends.

The campaign's Fulfillment date is May 2024; does that mean the full release of World of Grimm will be available at that time?

No. In fact, we anticipate getting the Public Beta into your hands much sooner than May 2024 - along with the Digital and In-Game reward items. The May 2024 fulfillment date is to ensure we have enough time to place orders and ship all Physical Reward items. In fact, it's likely that we may even be able to fulfill prior to then, but we'd rather fulfill sooner than have to push times back later.

Is shipping included in tier pricing?

Shipping is not included in tier pricing but we've done our best to ensure that shipping costs are as low as possible. We've carefully calculated the size and weight of our few Physical items and have tested shipping rates to various parts of the world. We plan to ship all Physical items in one single package so that you receive everything all at once-and so we can maintain our commitment to environmentally friendly shipping standards.

Last updated:
Can I get one of the Early-Bird tiers even if I waited until there were no more slots in those tiers?

There is always a chance that we might open extra early-bird slots periodically through the campaign. Be sure to check back often!

Last updated:
Will World of Grimm have controller support?

At first, no. We have seen some card games do really well with controller support (looking at you, Slay the Spire), we will have to evaluate whether it is beneficial for the game to have controller support.

Last updated:
What stories are included in the demo?

We have most of the Brothers Grimm stories in the demo, there are over 170 cards to collect and they are all from a story from the Brothers Grimm fairytales.

Last updated:
How can you make a game about Brothers Grimm fairytales?

Brothers Grimm have died a long time ago, and all of their works are public domain, which allows for free use personally or commercially. We are putting our spin on the stories, similar to how Disney does for some of their movies.

How can I purchase cosmetic card art variants in the game?

We will have our in-game shop set up through Steam, Apple, and Google Play, so purchasing Gems is safe, secure, and guaranteed to give you the Gems you expect. Variants will never cost an absurd amount of Gems, and everything is unlockable by playing the game as well.

What is the difference between a "Season Pass" and the "Founders Pass"?

The Founders Pass grants you the Season Pass ($10 for free) every single month forever! Buying one Season Pass costs about $10 USD and only lasts 1 month. Each Season Pass is different and you'll unlock different and new cosmetics each month as well as the special Season Pass card.

You mentioned a royalty kickback to the Artist who creates the cosmetic Variant that I purchased, is this true?

100% true! We have determined a very fair percentage royalty that the artist receives in perpetuity for any Card Art Variants that get purchased that they have drawn. We want to create long-lasting relationships with these artists as they are phenomenal people and creators.
