Almost at 60% with 19 days to go! Recording starts this weekend!
Hello J&B supporters:
We have been absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the tremendous support you have shown for our Kickstarter fundraising campaign since we launched on June 8th! Thanks to the generosity of over 80 backers so far, we are at just about 60% of our $10,000 goal with 19 days left until our July 9th deadline. We have already begun the record-making process: John had a 3-hr session yesterday (6/19) with our engineer Steven LaFashia producing "scratch tracks".. these are rough guitar and vocal tracks recorded to a metronome that our drummer Jay Miraglia will record his drum parts to this Friday and Saturday at Philly Sound Studios. Once we get the drum tracks, we build the entire record from there! Here's a picture of the main tracking room at Philly Sound.. it's a converted church with tall ceilings and beautiful acoustics!
One thing that many supporters have asked is how to help out beyond their actual donation and there is one really important thing you can do: tell your friends! Word of mouth is so important! Share and Tweet about our Kickstarter via Facebook and Twitter using this link:
Here, also, are our website and YouTube channel links:
As excited as we are at the response up to this point, we still need to raise an average of over $200 a day for the remainder of the campaign to meet the goal, and if you weren't aware, Kickstarter uses an all-or-nothing fundraising concept, so if we don't reach the goal, we get nothing. Zilch. Every single dollar counts! We sincerely appreciate all of your support beyond words.
Thank you again so much! More to come.. stay tuned!
John & Brittany
ps - on a personal note, I would like to sincerely thank so many of you for the kind wishes and condolences you have sent for my mom, who passed away on June 13th. I am dedicating my work on this record to her. She was my biggest 'silent partner' in my music career :) ~ John Faye
