THE VISUAL EFFECTS OF PHASE II
Star Trek: Phase II has the amazing talents of Tobias Richter, one of the top Visual Effects artists in the world. What you have seen in our videos is all Tobias and his company, The Light Works.
THE HOLIEST THING
The Holiest Thing is our latest episode and will feature the story of how Captain Kirk met Carol Marcus. It co-stars Jacy King as Carol Marcus and features Brian Gross as our new Captain Kirk.
We want to give you great perks for your donations. We hope you will enjoy the perks we offer. We have a team of three people prepped and ready to fulfill all the perks we offer here.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Generally, campaigns get about 80% of the total money raised. 10% goes to Kickstarter and Amazon payment processing fees. Another 10% we have budgeted for Perks (the gifts you earn at different donation levels). So basically we get 80% to spend on Star Trek: Phase II.
We set the Kickstarter bar low at $ 10,000. That will basically get The Holiest Thing finished and released to you fans.
What does that pay for? Our episodes need professional post-production work. While Tobias Richter generously donates his time and effort to Phase II for our visual effects, the entire post-production process needs to be manged by a professional in order to deliver the best quality work. This costs us $ 6,000, which is really rather inexpensive in the world of professional Hollywood post-production. But we have a seasoned veteran who will be handling this, who did this work on Kitumba, and you all know how well that turned out! The other $ 2000 we get (Remember, $ 10,000 - 20% = $ 8,000) will go to upgrading hardware for our team. Hard drives, memory disks and computing power are constant needs.
Star Trek: Phase II has some stretch goals and perks if we reach them!
(Please note, for those donating at $ 20 or less, there is a small shipping fee since otherwise we are not shipping anything to you as everything is digital. All other levels we will just put these stretch goal perks in what we are already shipping you!)
$ 20,000 STRETCH GOAL - ACHIEVED!
Bread And Savagery Post Production - $ 20,000 we will pay for the post-production on Bread And Savagery as well. This is the second Brian Gross episode. Again, that will be $ 6,000 and the balance will be used to buy more hardware.
$ 20,000 Stretch Perk - Everyone who donates at least $ 10 gets a special "Bread And Savagery" digital wallpaper & a USS Enterprise Phase II refit digital wallpaper.
$ 30,000 STRETCH GOAL - ACHIEVED!
The New Sets - The move to new facilities is costing us a LOT of money. Our new 13,000 sf facility is EPIC! and we will have the best and biggest Star Trek sets in the known universe. But this move costs money and so the $ 8,000 we get at this level pays for that move.
$ 30,000 Stretch Perk - Everyone who donates $ 10 or more gets an exclusive Juan Ortiz "Axanar" digital movie poster. Those who donated $ 75 or more will get a printed 11" x 17" version to go with their original Juan Ortiz poster perk.
$ 50,000 STRETCH GOAL - ACHIEVED!
We need about $ 15,000 to make an episode. So if we raise $ 20,000 above the $ 30,000 for the new sets, we will get about $ 16,000 which will pay for the next episode, Mind Sifter.
$ 50,000 Stretch Perk - Everyone who has donated $ 10 or more will receive the Star Trek: Phase II vinyl sticker.
$ 90,000 STRETCH GOAL - Rent!
Our new lease costs us $ 2,500 a month. So a full year will cost us $ 30,000. So at this level we will have paid for an entire year's rent.
So there you go! That is where your money is going. Rest assured that whatever money we raise will go towards bringing you the Star Trek you all want to see. We take our responsibility to you seriously and appreciate that you have invested with us! All the funds received will be put in a special account and handled by an accountant. Transparency and accountability are very important to us!
$ 90,000 Stretch Perk- Everyone who has donated $ 10 or more will receive the exclusive, limited edition "Phase II" patch. This will only be available in this Kickstarter!

Risks and challenges
There are always risks and challenges when making a film. These include unforeseen delays, actor cancellations and rescheduling, weather, location availability, equipment issues etc. However, we have an experienced crew that has faced these challenges before.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
