Here's Your Free Android Version of Star Command!

Android is finished and releasing this week!!! HOORAY! Every single Kickstarter is receiving a free version as a thank you for your unwavering patience. We appreciate it every day as we learn and get better at making games.

The Android version features 5 brand new missions, tons of new features and optimizations, and numerous bug fixes. The game should run on phones, tablets, kindles, readers and all walks of Android devices - so download it now!

Humble Bundle is helping us with Kickstarter digital rewards distribution, so visit this link to get access to your Star Command Download Page:

We realize many of you may not own an Android device or have an interest in the mobile version of the game. Clearly that's ok, and we would encourage you to share your code with a friend if you so wish. Most of you are still waiting on the desktop version of the game.

In the VERY near future we will be releasing the pre-alpha PC version that will be the new Android code with some enhancements to UI. It will, by no means, represent the final product. But it will give you a chance to start play-testing the game.

We have numerous goals with the desktop version. Some of them are quite significant revisions to the core of Star Command. We are looking into sandbox style play, revisions and overhauls to many of the combat and menu systems and just tons of optimizations. You will all have first crack at testing those features and helping us improve as we create this version of the game.

Converting Android has (like almost all facets of creating Star Command) been much more work than we anticipated. We thank all of you for your patience!

As always, thank you guys for supporting independent game development. We are just one of so many small companies that are trying to create the games we all wanted to be made. We hope you enjoy the game and stay tuned for more Star Command news!

Cheers, The Star Command Team

P.S. Another local team here in Colorado is close to finishing their first Kickstarter. Wanted to give them some love. They are creating Hot Tin Roof: The Cat that Wore a Fedora.

Give them a look see here:

I'm absolutely loving the game, but like Robert Griffin, I'd like to know how/when we will be getting the exclusive room, map and whatever the super intergalactic promo code is?

Thanks for all the work, and I think I will DEFINITELY pick it up on Steam/PC when it's released, thanks for all the hard work, was def. worth the wait (for me)

Hey there, I just found the Humble app that I never new about, I guess that hopefully is were I will get everything.

    3. Creator Robert Griffin on October 22, 2013

When and how do we get our backer rooms and such and how will we get updates if we get a download from outside of the android market? I also get the force close upon using shield boost along with mission force closes.

    4. Creator Werehare on September 25, 2013

Yeah. I get the same crash whenever using the shield booster.

    5. Creator Benjamin Low on September 25, 2013

I've crashed each time I've tried to use the shield booster (I'm assuming that's what it is)

    6. Creator Zeph Grey on September 25, 2013

That is actually incredibly generous of you! Especially since it wasn't part of the original agreement. Seriously amazing!

One question however, how much space does it need? No matter how much I give it it claims to not be enough?

    7. Creator bgannin on September 24, 2013

It would be a good idea to address the in game digital goods originally listed as a reward.

    8. Creator Ron Jarrell on September 24, 2013

So when do those of us on iOS get all these new improvements?
