Hey Hey HEY..! It's our LAST DAY!!

Hi there Kickstarter Carmafans, nobby here!

Well, all good things must come to an end, and so it is with this AMAZING month we've shared with you all. We've had some laughs, we've had some hooters and some bloopers, we've had some kitteh arm humping, and we've ALL had such a BLAST feeling the love from the Kickstarter community that's supported us throughout the Campaign.

THANK YOU, YOU MARVELLOUS BAND OF CARMAFANS!

We're still confident that YOU'LL get us across the Stretch Goal Line... But REMEMBER: If for any reason we don't quite make it (but we WILL, we WILL!), DON'T DESPAIR!! We won't let you down, and we WILL STILL be incorporating ALL those features that we've stated are Stretch Goals. We will still support:

  • MAC
  • LINUX
  • SPLIT-SCREEN PC!
  • CO-OP!

It will just take us a little longer to deliver them to you! (Although it won't, as we're GOING TO MAKE IT!!) :D

So, here's our last little video of the Campaign, another chance to just say THANK YOU! in person to you guys (and look out for the guest appearance by a MYSTERIOUS laydeh!):

Due to some kind of weird space-time continuum balls-up here at the moment we set the starting time for the Campaign, it ends for us at something like 4 in the morning... I tried to convince Mrs. Nobby to set the alarm so we could sit up in bed and watch the last seconds pass by - but she seemed strangely lukewarm to the idea. So, tomorrow morning I'll see you again and we can all revel in what's sure to be an AMAZING FINAL TOTAL!! :D

WE MADE IT TO THE STRETCH! CUE RAMBLING VIDEO BY DAFT BEARDY NOB!

It really needed some kitteh arm humping to get it going... And sincere apologies to the other games on Kickstarter (Tex Murphy, Two Guys, et al) whose names completely flew from my feeble old mind on camera.

AMAZING NIGHT EVERYONE, I'LL SEE YOU IN THE MORNING FOR A WHOOP AT THE FINAL SCORE!!!

Hey guys, remember to get some goddamn good music for the game! I loved Iron Maiden on C2, and on the other hand the industrial was quite annoying.

Havnt heard anything from you guys in a few months. Any news or updates?

    3. Nisei on June 7, 2012

Even if the game would turn out to be a piece of shite (which of course it won't) then the last 2 weeks alone were worth the $150 I spent.
Thanks for the amazing amounts of humour you've provided us with all the updates.

That cake looks like Lightning McQueen gone homicidal.

Heh, I forgot about this ending before my paycheck, and spent the money for it. No worries though, Kickstarter is awesome and let me enter an alternative payment.

I hope the game gets ported to consoles some day :)

    9. T-Bucket on June 6, 2012

I'm pretty sure I was the last guy to contribute. Only learned of this about 20 minutes ago. Glad I could get in before the deadline!

If Sim isn't Die Anna in the new game... I'll I'll... I'll drive off course and murder peds... Well I guess that wouldn't be all that bad, given the context. But she should definetly have a role, she's awesome!

But can we do $650k to get Sim?

    16. Nisei on June 6, 2012

      OK then: Congratulations!
Pff, finally. The last congrats I'm giving to ANYONE for the next few weeks. The next time I'm congratulating someone with their birthday I'm gonna think about their stretch birthday.

The confirmation of the Linux port is the best part of this already-kickass-news that Carmageddon is alive again.

Can't wait to blast some peds again :')

I don't think that dog snoring is as good as kitteh arm humping!
Wait, wasn't I supposed to be going off and doing things rather than staying here and leaving silly comments?! :-P

    23. zacH on June 6, 2012

Linux confirmed! Yaaaaaay! That's worthy of a pledge, methinks. :) Thank you so much!

Looking forward to possibly playing said port in the linux steam client that should be out this year, too. :D

      @Daniel
Just look at the Humble Indie Bundle. ;)
Every time, Linux (and Mac) users have donated a lot more than Windows users. The market is there, just waiting to be found!

      Daniel on June 6, 2012

I know Windows users are probably the majority bit has anybody noticed how after confirming Linux and Mac support the pledges have come in hard and fast? I'd even venture to the majority of these last minute pledges are Linux users who saw confirmed support on Phorenix.

Thank you very much for the commitment to do the Linux version even if we don't reach 600k. You're showing that you think about the gamer first, and that alone deserves my pledge :)

I want Hobbes to do the next vid!

    33. Samuel Vance Joyce on June 6, 2012

You guys rock for making Linux version even though there's still a chance you won't hit $600K. But you will, it's so close!

    38. Toxic on June 6, 2012

I'd pledge more but I'd have to sell another kidney... and that means going out and getting more ice for the motel bath ;-)

Wow, just a few thousand dollars left till $600k?
I've just registered and pledged. Who would I be otherwise? :P

Best of luck for you guys, looking forward to seeing another cult hit!

It better be a convincing armband Nobs! :-P
      F5? I'm Command R-ing ;-)

    43. Keith Ralston Buckley on June 6, 2012

Massive respect to you guys, independent dev's rock! You have shown nothing but respect to PC gamers, something that has gone amiss in recent times from other dev's. When the android app comes out, i'm waiting till I gotta pay, for you guys are more than worth it and truly deserve it!

So, from a fan since the start, a big thanks for the respect and a big kickstart for you in return!

Once I finish my game dev course I wanna be just like you haha!

    44. Stainless Games Creator on June 6, 2012

Hey there guys! I'm here, F5ing along with SOOO many others... Unfortunately Hobbes went for the arm early this evening, and I think he might be all arm-humped up for tonight... I might have to strap him to my arm and wiggle him around later in a humpy sort of way.
We continue to surge towards the stretchy... It's amazing. Hopefully it'll get there while I'm still awake, and able to shake my Hobbes armband about convincingly for you all!
