Hello Backers!

Happy Anniversary!

Can you believe it has been a whole year since you made the Polyhedra Party Kickstarter Succeed?!

To celebrate, I put up a new page just to say Thank You to you!

http://polyhedra.stacyspeyer.net/thank-you/

It lists those of you who said you wanted to be listed on my Thank You Backers Page. Please contact me if your name is misspelled, missing, or you changed your mind about having it listed.

Fresh New Website

I also re-did my website. Enjoy all the additional art pieces. It is a more playful experience with more images and text with links to navigate through the site. As always, I'm always interested in any feedback you have, especially any text or link errors.

Math Art Gathering

I'm super excited to be going to the Bridges Art Math Conference in Waterloo, Ontario. This yearly international gathering is a special environment full of mathematicians using art to explore mathematical ideas and artists, like me, finding their way into the fun of math through the means of art. Here is the link to the on-line gallery and pictures of the two pieces I'll be showing:

This compound of two truncated tetrahedra is part of my new series of metal polyhedra. I use the tetrahedron's self-dual nature to fit the silver and red truncated tetrahedra together, plus six bolts.

Those of you who made the great rhombicosidodecahedron from Net Book #3 - Color Symmetries will recognize this (mainly) 5 color symmetric form.

My work will be featured in the General Gallery on a table where I will be able to have my books on display. I'll be giving a short talk on a paper about Polyhedra: Eye Candy to Feed the Mind, and doing a Polyhedra Party. I'm looking forward to seeing a number of Polyhedra Party Kickstarter Backers there, too!

Words can't come close to express how good it feels to be going there with the actual printed copy of my book! Thank you so much for making it happen and for the countless moments in this past year when I've gotten a jolt of happiness at the thought that you helped to make my book into a reality.

Cheers,

Stacy
