Books Arrived & Survey-Time!

Posted by Stacy Speyer (Creator)

Hello Polyhedra Party Backers!

The print copies of Polyhedra: Eye Candy to Feed the Mind are here and they turned out great! I am really pleased with the quality and feel of the book. I'm having a great time looking at the vibrant geometric imagery and I think you will enjoy your copy of the book, too!

When the shipment came, I removed it from the truck with a forklift. Here is picture of me driving the forklift with some of the boxes of books:

Now that I have the books, I need to get them to you! Please fill out your survey, so I can send out your rewards to you.

The 3D coloring book, Cubes and Things: Color Symmetries (packed full of cool new designs), will be ready for me to pick up at the end of this week. Once I get them, I will begin shipping. I'm hoping to get nearly everything in the mail before October is over. The digital versions will be e-mailed out once the physical rewards have been shipped.

As local friends and backers have gotten their copies of Polyhedra: Eye Candy to Feed the Mind, they said such nice things about the books. Let me know if you are in the Bay Area and you would like to meet me to pick up your copy in person. Here are two good places to meet up in the next few weeks:

1. From 10a - 5p next Sunday, October 23, I will be setting up a Polyhedra Party booth at the East Bay Mini Maker Faire. This is a really special space to learn about and do tons of different things (from hands on crafts to the latest technologies).

2. I'm planning a Polyhedra Party in November at my home. Contact me if you would like to join me to celebrate the book release and come make shapes!

Remember, the sooner you fill out the short surveys, the sooner you will get your copy! During the Kickstarter campaign, I asked if you would like to have your name on my website's Thank You Backers page. While many of you responded to the message I sent, many people didn't, so the question is repeated on the survey.

Huge heart felt thank you to EVERYONE!

There really aren't words to describe how wonderful it feels to finally have the physical books from a project that I started working on in 2010. It is a warm fuzzy feeling that holds joy, relief, pride, and hope for a future filled with more creative projects. Thank you so much for making it possible!
