We are Synthesized Reality Productions, a live VOCALOID concert group...
...and our dream is to make live VOCALOID concerts all over the world!
But in order to do that, we need to make sure our first show at this year’s Pacific Media Expo (PMX) is a success!
Therefore, in order to bring this concert to its full potential, we need our own projector (so we no longer need to rent equipment), and a camera for livestreaming the concert to those who cannot attend. That's where you guys come in!
Obtaining this equipment will help jump start us to put on bigger and better shows internationally! With your help, we can make this dream come true and put on an absolutely amazing PMX VOCALOID concert!
Recently, people have been questioning our legitimacy, so I would like to announce that we have full support from Crypton Future Media and Internet Co. as well as agreements with licencing. If there are any more questions on if this is true or not, you may contact PMX or the Vocaloid companies themselves about us.
VOCALOID is a vocal synthesizing program that is produced by Yamaha, now in its 3rd installment. VOCALOID allows musicians to produce singing vocals, as a stand-in for or alternative to human singers.
A VOCALOID concert is a 3D "hologram" show based on the character mascots of each VOCALOID voice, used to promote the VOCALOID voice banks. Each VOCALOID has a unique character design, as well as a different voice type for varied ranges and styles of music. VOCALOID concerts put together unique 3D animation, dance choreography, and music into quite the memorable performances!
We hail from the San Francisco Bay area, but we are working together with artists and musicians from around the world. With their help and the help of VOCALOID industry professionals, we already have shows lined up internationally. Many of our members are from the former Vocalekt Visions 3D concert group, who has put on shows for PMX and other conventions before.
Our core team is as follows:
Wolf Neve: Head of SRP. A professional sound engineer (both live and in studio for music and movies) and stagehand, with over 10 years of experience doing live shows. Former member of Vocalekt Visions.
NeutrinoP: VOCALOID music producer from Romania. Assists with animations and licensing. Former member of Vocalekt Visions.
"Alfred the Lighting Guy": Another entertainment professional, having also 10+ years in doing live shows. Stage electrician and lighting designer.
EmpathP: American VOCALOID and UTAU music producer specializing in ballad-style music, who has done official demo songs for several VOCALOIDS. She is an artist for SRP and handles character design, including that of SRP's mascot, Yume. Also does panels and promotion for SRP. Former member of Vocalekt Visions.
RuchiiP: 3D artist who creates character models for the shows.
Apparatus: One of our artists and animators who also assists with rendering and outfit designs for our shows. Manages SRP's web presence. Creates our special effects for our shows. Is a MMDPV Director and lyricist.
Walnutt: Manages booths for SRP and promotes the project at various cons.
Sushie: Stage manager and Wolf's assistant for the shows.
MystSaphyr: Artist and VOCALOID/UTAU user. Contacts producers in order to obtain permission to use their songs in the concerts.
Up until now, Vocalekt Visions had been renting projectors for their live shows, which added to the costs of the conventions that hosted our shows.
We of the newly formed SRP want to be able to use our own equipment to put on concerts, to keep it cheaper for the conventions who host us (and subsequently the attendees) so our first and foremost goal is to purchase a brand new projector!
Also, we hope to start freely livestreaming our events online, for which we need a good camera!
When and where will this concert be held?
This concert will be held at the Pacific Media Expo (PMX) in LA, California (Hilton LA Airport) this November! We will also be doing a few other concerts very soon, so the proceeds help fund all of our future shows!
When will rewards from the Kickstarter be shipped?
If the Kickstarter is successful, we will be sending out all your rewards at the start of 2014. This is so we can create and ship them without having to deal with the hassle of December holidays!

Risks and challenges
Without the Kickstarter, we will not be able to obtain needed equipment for this show, meaning that our first concert might never happen.
Though our members are experienced and have worked within the VOCALOID community for a while, SRP itself is a non-profit organization that is just starting out. A great deal of time and effort is being put in from our creators and the rest of our team.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
