Looking for an update. Will we be getting our notebooks soon?
@Kiri: It is coming :). We are working out a few items and then will publish it for all. Thank you for being patient so far, I know that the road to completion has been long, but the light is near!
Okay mid-july has passed, an update to shippo is needed.
@Teena: Will be contacting you soon! :) And yay for Aussies!
Hi there. Another Aussie (granted: born in Canada) waiting for my Hippo Noto... address has changed since I pledged last year, though - please contact me if the address you have has a post code of 3146. Thanks -Teena
We are currently working on the update. There are definitely Hippos in NZ and AU though :). The #hipposquad has a deep affection for Australia because my husband is from there. I haven’t been in a few years but it is one of my favorite places in the world! It makes me happy that Hippos are making their way there. Thank you for your patience!
Hello, also waiting for another update. I don't know of anyone in Australia (or New Zealand) with their Hippo Noto yet, we're all very keen.
Hey, just hoping for another update? Been a while and haven’t received any tracking info or any hippos yet!
Thanks for the fast response Squishy-Ink... that sounds great!
@Brandon: an update is definitely coming. We are close to completion of the original KS and the update will have how close we are in it. I apologize for the delays that we have experienced, they were unexpected and we will make sure every Hippo makes it home!
Any chance of an update? I agree with others... seeing all the youtube reviewers having their orders fulfilled weeks/months ago and no delivery notifications or progress updates doesn't help. Hopefully you're nearing completion.
Well, now it has been two months since the last update, and I still don't have my Hippo Noto. When can I expect it? I know you are a small group, but it is hard seeing reviews of a notebook I've ordered, when I have no idea when I am going to get it.
Hi, any updates on the orders?
As we're two months past your two month completion estimate, perhaps we could get an update.
Personally, I'd love to know what percentage of the orders remain to be fulfilled, and now that you've had your process running these months, perhaps a new estimate of when those of us still waiting might get our packages.
I hear good things from the people who have received their shipments. Thank you
Just got the message for address change... So I was out for Easter holiday and sent multiple messages with no reply or confirmation on the updated address
Please let me know if ok as the previous address is no longuer valid.
really felling that after all this time I will miss my parcel because of the address :(
@Mark, the Hippo Squad has been working on fulfillment in my absence. Nothing has been halted during my time away from the island. I apologize if that is what you thought.
Evidently traveling is more important than meeting a commitment over a year old with too few updates.
I understand that volunteers are doing the packing and shipping but is there some way of getting an actual shipping date plus or minus a week?
Please let me know when you expect to finally ship my Hippos (to Curaçao). The wait is getting a little frustrating. I am used to having to wait longer than average, but even my patience is running out...
I apologize for the delay, we have had some unfortunate things happen during the campaign, and you're right learning can definitely be expensive. Your request has been taken care of, have a great day!
A year late in an estimated delivery makes us ask many questions.
Learning is expensive. At this point, I’m ready to cancel my order and request a refund.
My regular supply of Seven Seas notebooks will be sufficient.
@Lia: we are shipping both international and domestic shipments at the same time.
Please update on Australia delivery no lease. I have asked before.
For all who are getting frustrated, please understand that the volunteers she mentions in the update work full time and can only come help once or twice a month. As one of the *unpaid* volunteers to help ship the hippos, I have only been able to help Krystle like three times. We all work full time and have our own lives and families. So whatever math calculations being done by Sandor et al, are way off.
And there have been a littany of problems with shipping such as - we run out of envelopes! We run out of bubble wrap! We run out of SPACE! We are literally cramped into a tiny room and can't actually fit more than three people at a time (if we are lucky enough to get three volunteers in one day). Some days we can't pack anymore orders, because there is no more room to stack up the orders.
So, please have some patience and please understand that no one is being deprioritized. We don't have time to deprioritize anyone, we are too busy just trying to get the books out the door when we can with the resources that we have.
I'd like to echo what Sandor said below. As another person who funded this 13+ months ago, it's been frustrating to see new items come and go and still be waiting on these original items. I totally understand building out your brand and seizing the opportunity to bring in new revenue, but the vague updates a month apart with no direct communication coupled with seeing new offerings coming and going only help to add to the disappointment.
I know you all are doing your best, and am still looking forward to the Ivory journal and Hippo ink, but I can't help but feel deprioritized at this point in the process.
Hi ...I've sent a message about the address... not sure if you guys got it and if it was possible to had it changed. can you please confirm? Many thanks. Renata
@Liz: Response sent, thank you!
I've emailed and requested a more specific ship date for my pledge. I am hoping to receive something more definite than sometime in the next 2 months.
@Robert: please email email@example.com and we can get this sorted.
@Azashena, that sounds like a lovely way to use your Hippo :). I am glad that it can be part of your memories.
@Erin: to check on your individual order please email firstname.lastname@example.org. You’ll receive a ship confirmation when it does but in case it’s missed or in spam we can let you know.
@Sandor: I apologize if the updates haven’t been what you expect. Will send you a DM and we will see if we can correct a bit of the disappointment.
If it takes 15 minutes to package and ship one notebook, and y’all are working on doing that four hours a day, five days a week, that would be 80 notebooks shipping each week. So, using that very conservative estimate, if you’re estimating another two months to ship off the remaining notebooks, you must have over 600 orders yet to be fulfilled. It really feels like those of us who contributed early in the process have been pretty much pushed to the back burner, in order to fulfill new orders and bring in new revenue. I’m not saying I’m right; I’m saying that this is how at least one person who ordered and paid for this over 14 months ago feels about the situation. Vague updates spaced a month apart don’t help alleviate the sense of disappointment.
Is there a way of confirming for those of us who haven't received anything that our orders are in the shipping pipeline and haven't been lost? Hearing it will be possibly another two months isn't really doing much to reassure me at this point, even though I know you guys have been trying your best.
How can I find out when mine is shipping and potentially change my address? We are moving soon and don’t want to miss it.
I've figured out what I'm doing with mine (which has arrived, many thanks). My mother died this last week and when I get the inheritance money I don't want to look back in a decade or two and wonder if I spent it well. So everything I spend it on I'm going to journal in my Hippo Notebook about the process and memories and excitement of everything I use it for. So that in the future I can read back through it and be reminded.
The things I'll be journaling in it will include things like a once in a lifetime journey to the other side of the world and my first time attending a rock concert... and many other things that the journal will help me remember the special moments of.
