We're just a couple kids from Akron, Ohio, chasing dreams to pave our own roads, and feed people badass food with our Farm to Fork Food Truck.
In October of 2015, our long term goal of getting a food truck became an unexpected possibility that we jumped on immediately. We've put ourselves, and everything we have on the line to get to where we are now. It's been a long seven months with a lot of ups, and downs. Now we're proud to finally be able to say that we are officially on the homestretch of getting Betty on the road. Chasing dreams is not for the faint of heart, but it is by far the most rewarding experience that we could have ever possibly imagined.
We are a farm to fork food truck that will be serving what we like to call indie comfort food. Food that is nothing to be threatened by, but with life style inspired twists. We will be working with local Artisans, Farmers, and other Food Providers to showcase our life inspired food. We not only want to provide you with delicious crafted meals, but also show our support to those who provided the products to make those meals possible. Menus will be ever changing with the seasons to keep the best products on your forks.

We are setting out to not only help support the people that bring us delicious produce, but also want to set an example to give back to the world around us. We will be working with our community to set up at least once a month to be able to provide fresh meals to those in need, in addition to those who help keep the Rubbercity rolling. We believe that a full community is a happy community.
We will be providing what we like to call “Random Acts of Kindness Cards.” Which will be given to our project contributors, and can also be purchased off of the truck. Random Acts of Kindness Cards will be our way of inspiring others to pay it forward. What the card does is give you the option to donate a meal to someone in need, or choose someone at random to make their day. This is our take of a “get a meal, give a meal” type of concept.
Akron is a wonderful thriving city, and we want to keep it moving forward, by helping pave the way for the Rubbercity to become more food truck friendly. We’re all in this together.
You'll be able to find us at the upcoming events above, as well as many others, in addition to the streets of Akron, and private catered events.
Our truck “Betty” was in need of some much deserved love. We stripped it down, cleaned it up with a fresh a fresh coat of paint, custom wood trim siding, new floor, walls, ceiling, lighting, plumbing, equipment, and really just about everything else. We have gotten the truck to where it is today with our own hands, and now we need your help to get the last bit done!

All of our friends, and family that have gotten their hands dirty in getting the truck where it is.

Risks and challenges
Our biggest risk at this point is not getting fully funded, since Kickstarter is an all or nothing crowdsourcing website. The truck is already so close we can taste it. Without being fully funded we will be set back to later in the summer, and will not be present for your favorite events.
There is a lot of risk throwing everything you have in to something you are passionate about. The food truck scene is one full of all sorts of obstacles from dead batteries to the good old Ohio weather. We have a veteran group of people that can help handle just about any kink thrown our way.
Another large challenge for us will be ensuring that our local core farms will be able to keep up with our demand. To help alleviate this issue we will work in a radius pattern. If our local farmers can not supply we will search in the next radius ring.
There will always be unseen issues to happen, it is a matter of keeping level headed, and dealing with it in the most positive way possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
