You're making great progress. I can't wait to hear the final results... But I'm also very patient. Please be sure to take the time to enjoy the process as much as you can. This is an exciting artistic endeavor. I'm thrilled to be a (very small) part of it.
@Steve, some of them. Pulsar is repetitive enough as it is– that's kinda the point, is it needles that descending triplet pattern home– it really stuck around the head and I can pretty much summon it back to the forefront like THAT. Oblivion and Distant had enough play to them that there wasn't enough to get sick of, they are very formless so therefore they took a lot of forms.
I haven't returned to make my second pass on Adrifts, those are up through 110-ish and I haven't revisited them for the finishing pass, but that's probably the one that's gonna drive me the most exhausted. There is not so much to play with on that track; most of the "feature" is in the voice, so in making the backing tracks that live behind the voice, I'm really just gonna hear only the tiniest variations on the main theme. If any track drives me nutters-butters, it will be that one, I think.
I can imagine that this project could drive you insane. You must be dreaming these tracks by now.
