Passionate about the environment as well as design, I spent the last few years searching for the overlap. This year, I found it.
Spoke N Spoon (click to view the blog) is the business I have created for my senior thesis at the University of Michigan. It is a lunch subscription service, delivering a rotating menu of local lunches to Ann Arbor offices by bike.
Think Netflix and Cheese of the Month clubs but for local food and bike delivery. The aim is to make local food more convenient than fast food.
My senior year has been spent researching, surveying, testing, and designing the business end of things as well as creating the design for the business. This includes the logo, business card, the lunch bag, the ordering tag, the t-shirts/uniforms, the delivery bag, the website, the mobile app, and so on.
Throughout the year, I met an incredible array of people and organizations working with and around local food. I am asking for funding to put the final pieces together and to create a memorable celebration of everyone and everything that went into this project. I want to thank the people who worked with me took part in my surveys and trial runs at the event, as well as display my work, and have local food for people to EAT!
The exhibition is open to the public and will be held at Pot&Box, April 19, 7pm-9pm.
If you have any questions please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, I would love to hear from you!
(GOAL IS MET, but we can really really use more funds if you are interested in the project, it would be incredibly appreciated. The goal was a low one, and the support has clearly been incredible! Thank you so much!!)
