Spirit is a sports horror film with production scheduled for June, 2018.
The story follows Pablo, a mixed martial artist, as he wages an internal battle between self doubt and determination. Unlike most fight films, Spirit focuses on the fight outside the cage, unveiling a lesser known aspect of the sport - the extreme dangers of cutting weight.
To be competitive, MMA fighters often must cut ten to fifteen pounds in the 24 hours before the official weigh-in. This severe and rapid weight loss is achieved through extreme dehydration, pushing one’s mind and body to dangerous limits. Fighters often cite that they feel on the verge of death during this process. Only those with unbreakable will and determination succeed.
Spirit takes the audience inside this harrowing experience and asks the question - Where do we find the strength to persevere?
The path towards greatness is one of struggle and sacrifice. "I hated every minute of training, but I said 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'" - Muhammad Ali.

Risks and challenges
Film production is always a battle against time and money. Capturing the best shots and the best performances requires time. Time, in turn, requires money. This Kickstarter campaign as well as our other fundraising efforts will mitigate these challenges.
Sufficient funding will allow us to hire the professional crew needed to move quickly and efficiently through each production day. Our years of professional filmmaking experience will enable us to improvise on the fly ensuring that we utilize the time on set in the best possible way.
Our production will be fully insured and staffed by a professional film crew. Just as Pablo confronts the obstacles in front of him, we will meet the challenges of Spirit head on and we could not be more excited!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
