The campaign is over, but our crusade continues! Get #capedup at spiritcape.com
One size fits most. The American & college length fits best for those 5' 7" and up; the crop works well for shorter folks. Both sizes measure 40” across the chest. Arm holes are generous.
SpiritCapes are wearable flags made in a similar fashion and from the same high-quality materials as premium American flags. No actual flags are destroyed or altered however, since each cape is hand-crafted from the ground up. We love Old Glory and we're sure you'll love flying her colors too.
SpiritCape was launched by quixotic and fastidious friends in Austin that believe products are vehicles of change we want to see in the world. This is the plan so far:
From the dye, thread, and zipper to the adhesive on the packaging it arrives in, SpiritCape was entirely conceived, designed, and manufactured in the United States. We have methodically worked every component of our product, and every step of our supply chain to the point of origin, for accountability, quality, and cost. With every SpiritCape purchase, you are supporting hardworking Americans at 15 companies in 6 states — can't make anything anymore my ass.
Your cape is a timeless product, immune from fashion trends with a build quality to carry you through year after year. Thanks to the good folks at the Story of Stuff, we learned that 60% of all waste comes from packaging, and took to the challenge of designing efficient packaging made from sustainable and highly-recyclable materials. We think we've created something worth loving and are excited to share the vibes. Did I mention our scrap rate is under 1%?! Efficiency, yo.
Kickstarter's rules prevent us from donating rewards, but it's important to remember that you're not just launching a product, but also a company. We are proud to support the EOD Warrior Foundation and will be donating $1 from the future sales of each American and American Crop SpiritCape after our campaign ends.

Risks and challenges
• Act(s) of God.
Stuff happens — acknowledging this alone is a testament to experience, which is to say this isn't our first venture. We have the battle scars to improvise, adapt, and overcome obstacles that could prevent you from getting #capedup as quickly as possible.
• Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Fulfillment.
With a fully-vetted and assembled supply chain and several limited runs under our belt, we are ready for primetime. Did I mention we have the strength of the world's largest flag manufacturer behind us? Still, deviations in QC can cause delays.
We are engaged with the governing body for collegiate licensing and on target for meeting all requirements.
