In fact, there is a trend to no longer just attach the camera strap to the normal eyelets at the top of the camera. For good reason: The camera lies often unstable on your body and the strap obstructs operation and a clear view of the controls.

In the past, two different carrying systems appeared on the market:

1) Both strap ends are fixed at the bottom center of the camera to the tripod thread.
- Advantage: The strap is outside the control area of the camera (and a camera worn upside down looks super relaxed).
- Disadvantage: With every slight body movement the camera starts to swing and dangle on your body. Running, cycling, hiking? Completely impossible. Even when you are walking, it makes sense to put a hand on the camera to keep it still. In our opinion, this is the worst way to carry your camera.

2) One end of the strap is attached at the top right, the other end at the bottom of the tripod thread.
- Advantage: The strap is - at least partly - outside the control area, and the camera rests slightly better on your body. But this is only in front, sideways and on your back nothing gets better.
- Disadvantage: Everything just gets a little better. A completely stable cam position, with fast, unhindered accessibility, won't be achieved by this method.

Yes indeed. The hand brings the camera from the body to the eye within an extremely short time without any impairment and therefore you are immediately ready to shoot your picture.

The opposite is the case. Your camera feels much lighter when you wear it with the SPINN CP.01 plate. This is caused by the shift of the center of gravity of the camera from top to bottom and the full contact with your body. (The CP.01 itself weighs only 45 grams.)

The SPINN CP.01 works with Arca Swiss-type tripods. The Arca Swiss standard is the world wide most common standard to get your camera connected with a tripod. The changeover to the tripod only takes seconds. Off course the Spinn camplate also works with all Arca Swiss based Quick release systems and makes the handling even faster.

The CP.01 is CNC-machined from full aluminium and black anodized. It is very light and yet extremely resistant and durable.

Of course you can also use any other belt with the SPINN CAMERA PLATE. However, the SPINN Heavy Duty camera strap offers unparalleled comfort when carrying professional cameras due to its long length. The special material ensures that the camera comes to rest in the right place due to its high gliding properties on clothing and skin. The tugging of a heavy camera on the clothes is over.

Yes, any commercially available hand strap can be attached to the CP.01 with excellent results.
