Very pleased I am a backer. I cannot wait to see the movie and get my gift. I too have just launched on Kickstarter, my own fashion dream for '3rd' world countries. It's hard work and so I am sure the Lee household are celebrating. For Anyone, who is interested, take a look at my project. And power to creativity. Long may it flourish.

Right on, Spike. Now, do that sh*t!

When you start filming I am sure many of your local supporters would like to assist with things like crowd scenes and cameos to get the project done. I see a community backing our hero here. Breaking down the walls is what you have done with this campaign. Always bet on the MULE.

Congrats, Spike. Thanks for the personal note. It means a lot to be part of your next joint. I was just a writer, till you came on the scene, then I too became a filmmaker. You have inspired so many people. Saw the trailer for "Oldboy." WOW!!!

Thanks for letting us know how it is going. Can't wait till the cameras start rolling.

Congrats! Favorite movie: I'll go with something that was not mentioned often by other backers... 25th hour. I was deeply moved by the last sequence and I think the acting was phenomenal.

Congrats Spike, had no doubt that you could do it, I think your kickstarter should be a template on how to do it. Video updates to answer questions, massive updates, incentives and extra specials, involvement of the backers. This is how it should be, I can't wait for the flick! Lets get it!

Congratulations Spike! IMO, you are the realest black director/producer in the business.

You didn't say it, but I will...FUCK all those haters who wished so hard to their leader (Satan) that you would fail...from studio execs to regular busters!

Who GOD bless no one curse.

I bet all you bitch muthafuckas that hated on Spike are feeling a deep burning sensation inside. LMFAO!

@SpikeLee Get some rest then focus on the task at hand...making us laugh with this "Blood" flick.

Congrats Spike! You deserve to make this film and we deserve to be able to see it!

Favorite Spike Lee joint: Jungle Fever (1991), thanks for helping one mixed kid gain a new and alternative perspective on the provocative nature of interracial love, just as my parents' marriage was deteriorating.

Most underrated joint: Bamboozled (2000) - what a succinct history on the development of the image of blackness in America!?

      I dig.

    35. Cooper Campbell and Paul Rothbart on

Congratulations, Spike! I'm so glad you did it and happy to have been a part of it. As an independent filmmaker, I'm thrilled to see crowd funding success stories so we can see cinema as an art form and not a product. Looking forward to the new joint.
