Two Hours, Two Hours!

Posted by American McGee (Creator)

We've got only two hours left and the pledges are pouring in. It's wonderful and heart-warming and exciting and all of those nifty adjectives that make you feel good inside.

A lot of similar questions are coming up in these final moments. Let's put them all to rest:

1. The PayPal/BackerKit store will remain open for at least a month after the Kickstarter closes. This will allow new backers to join and current backers to buy more of the nifty art.

2. American will sign (as he put it), "ALL THE THINGS." Canvas posters, art books, DVDs, all the things! Lithographs and screenprints are not included as these are already signed by the artist.

3. We will not be doing an additional Kickstarter to obtain the funds for Susie and Roger (for voice over) but hopefully we can obtain the funds through our PayPal store.

4. The shorts will definitely be available for digital release once completed. If you purchase a DVD/Blu-ray now you get a physical copy. Whether they go into retail then or at a later time will be decided closer to release.

Finally, I've been asked by a few people to put up our Jules Verne piece. "Alice: 20,000 Leagues Under" will be available now and later through the PayPal store.

Thank you, everyone.

will this lead to a game in the future?

@Soppha, at least two weeks. It takes 14 days for the funds to arrive in the project creators account, (7 days to collect all the pledges and another 7 days to sort them out). So the surveys will come AFTER that at LEAST, it's really up to American as to when he wants to do them, but he can't for at least 14 days.

Does anyone have any clue as to when the e-mail survey will be sent? I am anxious to pick out my art peices.

@American: Reflections of Seurat looks rather neat. I can't see any sort of decent resolution on the backerkit page, though. Also, I *detest* PayPal, so I probably will leave that one as a fall-back in case one of my other preferred posters isn't available. So much great art going into this project!

Awesome! Hope we can get Susie and Roger in on this too! How much was it for them anyway? Another 50k on top?

More posters? Eeeee... must... not... look... Oops I looked... Oooh pretty!

So many awesome posters. You are making my decisions very difficult. I am at 5 already, and counting...

      Congratulations American! (and us).
Very happy that the store will remain open for at least a month afterward!
Will definitely invest more into this!
"Alice: 20,000 Leagues Under" is amazing!

@Chris, There are two others - Seurat and Darwin. But I can't add any other images to the front page. You can see them on the PayPal page here:

@American: So, this is the last poster. Last chance to force me to raise my pledge yet again...

@Stephen, no more pictures to be made. Now, it's up to the directors to decide whose mind they want to enter.

    12. Stephen Montalvo on

Good news on the PayPal store! Any one going to do a Wagner picture?

    13. American McGee 3-time creator on

@Anthony, it is not. It's not in Shanghai. It's a poster we have to purchase here in the US.

    14. Chris Campbell on

I've never looked forward to anything more than I am now with this. So glad I could take part in helping this happen.

@Adam, We're a game studio not a film studio so this won't take much of our time. And we'd need to procure funding for Oz before we could move forward with it.

    17. Matt Murphy on

Excellent to hear but will there be a return for OZombie?

    18. Adam Boisvert

So is an Oz game still in the works, or is this going to take most of your attention?

    19. Emily Chapman on

Congrats! Hopefully a game will follow!!

      Hopefully the directors says 'yes'.

@Juan, We learned with the Akaneiro Kickstarter that it takes literal days for the artists to sign everything and during that time, we can't get any work done :P

@Omar, Too soon to know! That will be up to the directors.

Will any special features or bonus features from the shorts be available also for digital release?

    23. Anne K on

Ohhh, more beautiful art. I so want all the things!

Can't get all of them, but I hope to get some more later on.

    24. Juan Ayala Jr. on

Why don't the artists sign the canvas posters and art books?
