Tablet progress, finally!

This is Muhammad. He's come to rescue Akaneiro on Android tablet. Prior to his arrival, work on the tablet version of Akaneiro had slowed to a crawl - mainly because the mobile engineer previously assigned to it was on extended personal leave. Circumstances had developed out of his (and beyond our) control. But things are now back on track!

As you can see, Muhammad has the tablet version up and running. His main focus these days is on optimizing the game so it'll be a smaller download and run smoothly at all times. That involves code and assets - Muhammad on code and our 3D and 2D art team on assets. Their combined efforts will continue until everything is humming beautifully and you're playing Akaneiro on your Android tablet!

Within a week we should have exact dates for delivery of upcoming milestones. Then we'll work to get early build APKs (Beta versions) to all you backers. We could send out a pre-Beta build right now, but your tablet might burst into flames trying to run it. We know it's been a long time coming, but this is definite progress and we think it should be smooth sailing from here on out!

From Shanghai with Muhammed,

American

@Phoenix, There isn't enough real estate to play it on your S3 :(

    2. DarkestPhoenix on

Is this going to be "just" a tablet version, or will I be able to pop this APK on to my S3?

@Devin, iPad would be next. One step at a time.

Way to go, Muhammed! Keep up the good work!

I can't wait for this for my android tablet!

Devin, it looks like the OUYA stretch goal wasn't met :-( Bummer, right?

@American: It would look pretty on a TV screen in 1080p, though... perhaps OUYA could be used in the future as a way to nail down a console control scheme, which could be used to bring the game to PS4 also, since Sony has chosen to support self-published indie devs.

This is great news! Can we expect an Ouya release to follow shortly thereafter?

@Bogdan, Yes, your SpicyWorld account is your tablet account. Controller support will only add MOAR time to this whole process...

    9. Bogdan Ivkovic on

So our account on spicy world is the one that will be linked with android? And would you be enabling controller support?.. as the Nvidia shield is almost here.

Please support the resolution of Asus transformer Infinity! Can't wait for the tablet version!
