Felix, check out our update #6. It will tell you everything you need to know. Cheers

    2. Creator Felix Foret on December 18, 2012

So is there any way to get notified when you do the kickstarter project again? I dont want to miss this. I started bike commuting today and I want something like this in case something happens.

    3. Creator Keith Rogers on December 13, 2012

For what it's worth, I'd prefer 140 MINIMUM forward, 163 rear. IDEALLY 163/163 is my 2 cents.....
      Thanks for listening.

    4. Creator Keith Rogers on December 9, 2012

      You're welcome Josiah,
Best of luck! I hope it all comes together for you....and all of your backers. I really look forward to getting my hands on the camera. Take care

    5. Creator Josiah Ng on December 9, 2012

Keith, We're working very hard to make this project a reality. Thanks for your support!

    6. Creator Keith Rogers on December 8, 2012

Major bummer if this doesn't go into production! It is far more appealing than my current "sports camera."

    7. Creator Raphaël on December 7, 2012

      Hi Josiah,

      Thanks for the update.
Hope you succeed to get the cam in production.

      Hi Raphael,

If Kickstarter doesn't reach the goal, no one's credit card gets charged and we don't get funded. Battery is custom moulded and is not removable. There will be options for external extended battery. Strap is versatile enough to fit some frames.

    9. Creator Raphaël on December 6, 2012

      Hi,

      Really cool project.

      - Is the production planned whatever happens on Kickstarter? (12d to go and quite some money to raise...)
      - Is the battery removable? Can we replace it during a ride? or is it a usb battery?
      - Will it be possible to strap it on the frame with some plastic seals strap?

      Cheers,
      r.

      Hi Mark,

Yes a loop recording feature is planned. You'll be able to customize your setting using your smartphone. GPS is a definite possibility but that depends on our resources for development as it wasn't originally planned. If not in Version1, we'll make it a goal for V2. Everything you have brought up has been discussed at our meetings with engineering and you got it right that it's going to come down to how much resources we have to work with at the end of the Kickstarter campaign. The more we raise, the more features we'll be able to add.

    11. Creator Mark on November 26, 2012

I hope this has some sort of loop recording mode where it starts to overwrite older, untagged recordings. This implies that there should a method for tagging recordings so they aren't overwritten (with an appropriate pre-record buffer, say fifteen to thirty seconds before the button was hit), possibly transmitting that via wifi to the phone or other website the camera might be tethered to.

It would also be nice if it had a self-power-on/off when external power is applied/disconnected, to go with automotive mounting.

I don't suppose GPS capability is possible too?

And finally, how open would this design be? There are certainly many different capabilities I'd like in the firmware that I'm sure would become cost prohibitive for you to implement. Would it be possible to get and modify source code for this? What about schematics for modifying the hardware? (such as for adding GPS, accelerometer, or something) Possibly make it USB-OTG capable. Certainly a USB port will be available, right?

    12. Creator Josiah Ng on November 26, 2012

Gareth, 1. Up to 32gb but firmware updates in the future will allow for more. 2. Yes our versatile mounting system can mount to your stem, seat post and other flat and curved surfaces using our double sided tape attachment.

    13. Creator Josiah Ng on November 26, 2012

gbtw, No crypto is planned. If the cops want to use your footage against you, just pop the micro SD card out and crush it with your shoe! LOL. Actually I'm not sure they can use your footage against you. Isn't that against due process in the States?

    14. Creator Gareth Willis on November 26, 2012

      Couple of questions

      1. How much on board storage will this have?
      2. Will it be possible to mount it somewhere other than your helmet?

    15. Creator Gunnar van Lit on November 25, 2012

I wonder since you are rolling your own camera have you thought about some much needed camera features other brands seem to forget. We live in day and age where police will use your camera footage against you when they pull you over. It would be nice if the camera used crypto to write on the flash storage and then with the push of a button or two forget the key, making the written files useless for anyone without some massive computer power to bruteforce that partition. Same system is used for military laptops and communication gear.

    16. Creator Thomas Mon on November 20, 2012

As a follow up to the charging question... when you are riding, it will draw power from somewhere? The Bicycle? Now that would be pretty interesting although you would then be tethered to your bike some how. In any case, you have my $199. Good luck reaching the goal!

    17. Creator Matthew on November 19, 2012

I love this project and I can definitely see myself using this when training. Drivers around here aren't too comfortable with cyclists just yet!

    18. Creator Josiah Ng on November 18, 2012

That one is a Lifeproof one. It's pretty good but pricey as you have to get the case with it. There's another good one by Annex which is the Quad Lock. I have that one too and it works great!

    19. Creator RedRum on November 18, 2012

What's that phone mount you have in that video for the bike? Custom or which one would you recommend?

    20. Creator Josiah Ng on November 14, 2012

Daniel, Yes you will be able to charge at the same time.

    21. Creator Daniel on November 14, 2012

Will it be supporting to be charged while being used? To extend the record time.
Obviously not that attractive on a helmet ;)

    22. Creator Josiah Ng on November 14, 2012

      Hi Mathew,

Yes, windshield mounts and dash mounts would be in the product pipeline. Everything really depends on what budget we have to work with. The more backing we get, the more mounts and accessories we can develop and manufacture.

    23. Creator Mathew A on November 14, 2012

      Hi Josiah,

would any mounts be available so this can be put in a car?

    24. Creator Shimona 恩赐 Kee on November 13, 2012

Go JoJo Go Go Go! This is an awesome product! Can't wait to try it out! <3
