Shipping Update II
We hope that all of you who have received lights are riding them.
At this point, all of the single lights and the gloss white sets have been shipped with 2 category exceptions. If you have not confirmed your address with Kickstarter, please do so. European backers see below.
Remaining matte black sets left the factory yesterday and are in the air as we type. These lights will ship to remaining backers next week. Thank you for your patience.
Remaining brushed chrome sets are scheduled to ship the week following. The factory has yet to commit to a specific day as of this writing. This finish should shine - we set up a whole new polishing facility to achieve it.
The chargers sourced for the EU have faced CE certification issues (the lights pass fine). For those in Europe wanting their lights as soon as possible - if you're okay with receiving a US-style charger, we can ship you a US version which would arrive sooner. Note: any USB source will charge the lights; you don't necessarily need to use a wall socket. Send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org if this works for you.
For our German backers, we are still working through meeting the new regulations but we don't yet have a timeline for shipping. If you have a non-Deutschland address, we can ship your lights there. We are also happy to refund those German backers until we have a solution. Notify email@example.com of your preference.
In Other News
The lights have received some nice mentions and a few accolades in the past few weeks.
-They just won a top Spark! award for Product Design and are now being exhibited at the Spark Awards Pavilion at the China International Industrial Design Fair, November 30–December 3 in Shenzhen.
-Prolly just put up a post on the Sparse show bike, a steel/carbon road bike by Icarus Frames. You can see that and several other Sparse-kitted bikes on our Flickr page @ridesparse. Send us your own pics of the lights on your bike and we'll repost. firstname.lastname@example.org.

-WIRED just posted a positive review.
Outside of vigorous management of the production and fulfillment, we've also been setting up sales relationships out in the world, and a few of us have (finally) returned some attention to developing the next round of Sparse products. Wish us luck and stay tuned.
Thank you again for your patience.
