      I would also like to know what "limited time" means.

      Regarding the stretch goals, it's probably not even technically feasible, but I'd rather vote on them. Personally, I'd value the retro EGA graphics above all the other goals. At least, if I think about the graphics for a game whose main element is going to be humor, then graphics either matter little or I get some retro charm. I don't exactly oppose to good 3D graphics (maybe more TF2 style, less Pixar?) but with a low priority. If a female character means also different puzzle solutions, then there is a sense in it, but I feel most creative work might be spent on the male main character anyway.

      I must have missed the part about the LSL7 style parser, which sounds great (I wish the LSL remake also were going to have it).

      This update should be posted on the front page of the KS, I believe. More than just the one line saying that you can pledge via Paypal now. Or at least, it should say you can *still* pledge via paypal if you missed out earlier.

      Scott has basically said there will be a parser in the main interface LSL7 style, and my understanding that the EGA mode mentioned would be totally parser controlled. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong on that..

      @ Andrea Raiconi : I think the stretch goals are only to "guarantee" certain features. There's nothing to stop them from adding an Italian translation later on, especially if the game's a hot seller, but only Spanish, German, and French are for certain at release if they reach 550k

      @ Frowns: The way stretch goals work is that yes, if those goals aren't reached, they won't be included in the game. It's still going to be a fully featured game, these are just little "bonuses" they could put in if they get the extra money.

      I'm a bit confused here... Let's say the Stretch Goals only raise enough to unlock the 550k goal. Would that mean that the rest of the tiers are simply not included in the game?

      @ThomasN: While I will not idiotic enough to say that, that does not look nice indeed, I think it's a bit of a case of expectations. Ya know, I was going to rant on about how I prefer 2D and I only want 2D and blah blah blah, but to be honest, that video won me over for 3D. My inner adventurer is appeased. :)

      Mark Crowe has spoken. I trust his judgement on this matter, and dare not interfere with his creative process by sharing my opinion. I eagerly await the Spaceventure as the Two Guys see fit to create it.

      I don't know how many people care for the Cluck Y'egger goals as opposed to the female character which I feel is much more important. Also, no 3D characters please. I don't know why the game has to be 2.5D. For me it's 2D all the way, baby!

      Hey Gang! Just popping in to see what's up. Regarding "Pixar Quality" Yes, we are thinking "Incredibles production values" We'll be doing some experimentation with 3D models to either generate 2D sprites or possibly use realtime 3D characters in game with team fortress-style cell shaders. Again, just exploring the possibilities. But the goal is to create an awesome 2.5D look for Spaceventure. We are NOT making a 3D game though, just to be clear.:)

      Whoa Whoa whoa whoa! 3D graphics? No. I'm sorry, but that's a stretch goal I actually do not want to make. I would rather the EGA graphics over the 3D characters and animation. I was under the impression that they were going for a 2D game. I can't find any reason why I would think that, and perhaps that's a little bit of my own assuming that's coming around to bite me.

      Everything else is awesome. I just like my adventure games 2D.

      @Moses I agree with you; I prefer the hand-drawn style to 3D animation, at least when it comes to adventure games. Although, it doesn't affect whether or not its a good game to me. :)

      Sad to see the idea of a female protagonist reduced to a stretch goal.. and only for a portion of the game. Or maybe I misinterpreted it the first time. Well, my enthusiasm was just reduced..

      I'd be a tad unhappy with "Pixar-Quality 3D Characters", honestly. SQ6's mix of 3D and 2D elements felt a bit jarring compared the classic VGA games with their incredible hand-painted/animated backgrounds and sprites. Perhaps I'm being an old fuddy-duddy, but the painterly style of the old-school Sierra adventure games was a big part of their charm; it made me feel like I was playing inside a beautiful children's book illustration.

      Actually I'm tired of female protagonists. Games have gone the opposite direction. Now its male lead character that is rare.

      At the risk of sounding like a broken record, 650K is too high of a goal for the female playable character. It should be lowered...possibly to the 600K mark. But that's just my opinion.

      lots of people ain't got credit cards or amazon, so there's an alternative method. I'm sure they just want to make it easy for everyone.

      I hope that at least the 650k is achieved. I've always liked games in which you can play partitions of game as a different character.
