Are the backer bonuses still going to happen?

I don't seem to be able to get past the final quicktime event when fighting Crimson 09 in the PC version of the game. Is there some trick to it, or is it a bug?

    3. Ivan Sheer on November 20, 2016

Wish I'd thought to check here before I bought the DLC. D'oh!

    4. Giant Spacekat Creator on September 12, 2016

I answered your message in an email - if you don't get it, please let me know!

    5. Elisus on September 12, 2016

Are all the backers receiving the DLC?

    6. Giant Spacekat Creator on September 11, 2016

Stephen, Liam - apologies. I had stupidly forgot to check this page for comments. I have sent you both emails. If you don't get them, please let me know.

I must have missed the update when this game became Mario Teaches Typing with quick time events

      Any update on this..?

    10. Stephen "Stoibs" D
      on September 7, 2016

Yep, only got the base version of the game.
I'm inclined to believe this is merely an oversight, and that the dev doesn't really expect us to pay even more since we are already paying atleast double what it launched on Steam for.

    11. Liam Caffrey on September 7, 2016

Hi Frank, the key you mailed does not seem to include the special edition content only the base game. As KS backers are we not entitled to the special edition content on steam? Seems a bit harsh since we gave $20 years ago and the base game is only $10 to non backers.

    12. Giant Spacekat Creator on September 7, 2016

Hey everyone! Frank Wu here. Today we launched the Special Edition of the game on Steam -
I emailed keys to everyone on the Kickstarter list, but 13 email addresses bounced. If you didn't get my email, please email me at

We've also released the Special Edition on iOS, which is available for purchase here:

Dear project creator, I would like to invoke my legal rights under Kickstarter's Terms of Use:
"Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill."
Please provide a refund for my pledge amount.

    14. RocK_M on August 19, 2016

Instead of just posting on Twitter.. perhaps it would help more if the updates where also done here please?

I decided to give you a chance Mrs Wu. And I waited the extra months (mostly because my attention was elsewhere) even though my interest at this point is really at rock bottom and didn't pursue the refund. I come back and the only life I see is basically some vague promise of updates on Twitter. Nothing on the website and then it took me a while to even dig through your Twitter account to find the expected release date of end of August!

Please give your backers a little modicum of respect and inform them of the release date! We have been waiting for almost over a year with practically zero information!

    15. Stuart on July 6, 2016

If the "wheels where in motion" to submit to Steam 2 *months* ago, then why can't we get an actual "It will be released on X date" from you guys? This is very sad, the lack of real communication about the ship date. :(

    16. Giant Spacekat Creator on July 2, 2016

Josh, the game is done. I'll Tweet a video of some gameplay later today on @spacekatgal so everyone can see. I would ask you to understand, Gamergate is currently harassing our studio over our ship date. They don't care about the game or you - it's just a harassment tactic.

I could push a button and ship it today if I wanted to. But, for us, this Kickstarter was for $10,000 - a fraction of a fraction what it cost to develop. We have to market the game, prep trailers, and I'll have to do press.

If you follow me on Twitter, you'd know that I spent WWDC week pushing through exhaustion from crunch, and getting seriously ill. I ended up at the hospital with an infected lung - unable to breathe. I have to get my strength back to do press.

This week, my plan is to finish up the trailers, and settle on an outlet to give an exclusive to. Please be patient. We've known each other a long time.

    17. Josh Pennington on July 2, 2016

Can we have an update, please?

    18. RocK_M on July 1, 2016

I am respectfully asking for a refund at this point.

We have the wheels in motion to submit to Steam this week!

Under "How Projects work" #4 it says we can take legal action if they don't give us updates and show us what's been going on with their time and our money:

I'm not one to ask for refunds on KS...

But this is really close to being the first. Would really appreciate some information on progress please?

We're approaching the two year overdue mark now, it's got to be finished soon surely. I mean wasn't the game 'almost finished' in late 2014?

    27. RocK_M on March 20, 2016

And March is upon us.... has anyone got any news at all yet?

    28. Tiffany Nolan on January 5, 2016

I'm hoping we will be able to see and play this at PAX East this year. Any update on the progress and a release date?

    29. RocK_M on December 3, 2015

Octobers come and gone and December is upon us =P

I don't mind waiting but some info/status/updates would be nice xD

    30. Josh Pennington on August 13, 2015

I don't think I'm ready to ask for a refund, but getting some kind of acknowledgement that this project is still active would be nice.

      What the update?

I am tempted to ask the Project creator for refund my invoking my legal rights under Kickstarter's Terms of Use:

"Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill."

      please update and thank you.

      on April 21, 2015

Wow. Clearly I have gotten older and grumpier, and just lost touch with "current events". I've since taken a certain Fire-and-Forget approach to Kickstarter: I believe in this project to give it money, but I understand that crowdfunding lacks structure. Created things come when they come. But everyone once in a while, I run down my KS list to see where everything is.

And discovered Gamergate. Promptly threw up on my keyboard. So so so very angry.

I could write a thesis, a book, a damn codex on how I feel about this whole thing, but it would be nasty and wrathful and just downright ugly, and I just don't wanna do that. (I mean, I REALLY DO, but I won't.)

Spacekat, nothing but hearts for ya. Empathy empathy empathy. Everything about this (except you) is wrong wrong wrong, and there's just no way to make up for that. I offer you no pressure, and an assurance that I am still eager and excited to play this game when it makes it into the sunlight.

Thank you for the update. There was no call for the aggressive nature of my post. I had no clue of the current situation but I did read a number of articles about your situation. I apologize.

    38. Giant Spacekat Creator on March 12, 2015

Jason, the project is just fine. The game is done except for redoing the character's skeletal meshes.

This was a major commitment redoing them - I'm actually working on retexturing Holiday as we speak. After we finish that, we'll have to rerender the opening movie and then we'll ship it.We even have steamworks active for you.

I don't know if you've followed the news about what's happened to me - but I'd ask you to have some empathy. We couldn't even attend PAX East to show this game due to specific threats of violence.

Congrats on Revolution 60 for Windows getting Greenlit on Steam!

    41. Giant Spacekat Creator on December 28, 2014

      Hey everybody,

A long update is coming. Short version - the PC version is basically done. We had to modify a ton of gameplay to make it run on PC. I need to add some textures, run it through a playtesting cohort, and we'll get it out the door.

To be blunt, I've been getting death threats, rape threats, extortion attempts constantly from Gamergate. Just type my name into a news aggregator, and you'll see hundreds upon hundreds of articles about it.

    42. RocK_M on December 28, 2014

For folks who missed it there's a small progress/update on Brianna's/Rev60 FB page on Nov that progress on upscaling is still on it's way.

As for the delays... well let's just say that unfortunately Brianna got caught up w/ some unpleasantness related to Gamergate =/

I agree with the commenters below, can we get an update on the PC and Mac versions? It's been months, and all we ever hear about is iOS, which is NOT what this project was titled. It says "Bring Revolution 60 to PC and Mac!" yet all we hear is iOS this and iOS that...
