Update #16 - April
You know what we're thankful for? YOU, NATURALLY. Because thanks to you we're in a documentary! I know this is supposed to be about Kickstarter stuff but since April was a slow month due to tax stuffs I figure let's post some documentary stuff!

What was your favorite part!? Hopefully the documentary answers some of your questions as to what Kickstarter prep looks like. Speaking of that Kickstarter prep - we should be sending that surveys for that soon! I'm just waiting to hear back from my accountant on what SpaceBeagles' financial situation is post-taxes before we drop all the benjamins on producing your rewards. Once we get that info then we'll be sending out survey stuffs.
Game-wise there's not a lot to show because well it was boring system stuff and the good stuff we would want to show we don't want to spoil for you since part of BSP is a story game.
I mean I can show you some dialogue system stuffs! YAY GOOGLE DOCS
Our good buddy Zack Bell will be helping us with this because #1) Theory and I are working on other boring stuff and #2) I REALLY REALLY want to implement this "family dinner convo system" into the BSP pre-alpha.
Also ya'll should go check out his new game Hacky Zack! It's a puzzle platformer about well, doing that 'keep the ball in the air' thing you did at recess except with ambient music, cute visuals...AND OMG ONE MORE TRY I KNOW I CAN BEAT THIS LEVEL AND BE A PART OF AGDQ
the first 5 peeps who show me a good tweet they've written about Hacky Zack that utilizes the word "BUTT" in all caps, will get some Hacky Zack codes from yours truly!
But to elaborate on dialogue systems, why is dialogue game design so overlooked? The most recent game that elevated dialogue game design was Oxenfree, which showed that natural conversations actually can be simulated in videogames.
We're hoping that by doing something similar like Oxenfree with our "family dinner convo system" that your BSP experiences will be enhanced. So more on those systems later once their more developed. Also if Oxenfree is my 2016 dialogue game pick NITW totally gets my vote for 2017 btw.
Sorry this post wasn't much! We're in the phase of trying to wrap up BSP's pre-alpha so that we can continously update builds. Once we get to that phase, things will be much smoother and we'll be able to show more secret stuffs.
