A new Latin sound of original, energy defying Salsa, Merengue and Bachata dance music...
Sounds of Quiroga is the daring vision of rhythm and song infused with passionate harmonies, contagious melodies and the addictive synergy of afro-Latin rhythms with the Big Band sound reminiscent of classic tropical orchestras. For their first album as ‘Sounds of Quiroga’, Gian-Carla Tisera (Bolivia) and Arturo Peña (Dominican Republic) bring together the talents of 26 Latin-American musicians and singers based in New York City, Dominican Republic and Bolivia. They met in the city’s music scene, Gian-Carla as a singer/composer and Arturo as a drummer/producer. It is a huge project that involves many musicians, artists, engineers and most importantly - a persistent and committed artistic vision.
Since January 2016 we have produced and recorded our full album which features the talents of more than 25 musicians based in New York City, Dominican Republic and Bolivia. Now we need funds to pay for a successful publicity campaign that will target audiences within the American and Latin communities of New York and the United States through marketing and advertizing. We will also submit our music to the Grammy community and will work with Billboard Magazine to feature our album during Grammy Ballot Week (October 2017). Funds will also help us finance our titanic CD Release Dance Party on June 17, 2017.
Risks and challenges
The greatest challenge we face is managing our time to complete the project and prepare for the CD Release. All the rewards we have offered can be easily completed by the CD Release date and those rewards that will take longer have been specified. Our album is fully produced so now the most urgent aspect of completing our project is organizing all the details for our CD Release, which depends on a very effective advertizing campaign.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
