Have a question?
Hi, how do we log bugs? Thanks.
@roo this is the content for the first chapter, as we promised to deliver, on time - which we did - with the budget we had. We chose to have it listed as Early Access until the full multi-chapter game is released and then it will transition to full release. Almost all the reviews of people who played it are positive. We continue working on it (fixing bugs for an upcoming update) and focusing on marketing the first chapter so we can have the resources needed to work on Chapter 2 as well.
So is this game done? 4 total screens for the entire game and never to leave early access?
Was wondering when the final game is released and now seeing THÌS IS the 'final' game.
"five years in the making"
THIS - at least - should have been enough time to create ONE screen (scene) per year, huh?
FOUR screens in total?
Surveys have been sent for the $90 and up tiers. The next update is mostly written and will be sent out soon along with surveys for other tiers!
@ Christopher Carlson: I'm working on the game, and on writing an update once I reach a certain point and have some news other then "it's slowly progressing"...
any news you can share? it has been a while since the last update.
Something beautiful for adventure enthousiasts:
It's struggling right now. Please make this game happen, thank you all in advance.
(I can assure you I have no ties with the creator, apart from being a backer)
@shawn GDC was awesome , did you read my previous update?
So, how was GDC ?
@ WP - Member, Mutant League: yes. Working on the first OUYA build literally right now! http://instagram.com/p/02ijIMBk0G/
I'm planning on an update that will include a summary of my trip to GDC and other news very soon.
Looking forward to a reggae adventure, do you got any new news please ?
@peet there you go.
In the next few days. It's written just needs to be proofread
Cool, looking forward to an update. :)
@peet yes. Constantly working on it and will update soon, with some stuff about the new scenes added to the game.
Is anything happening with this project? Cheers
Thought you should see this Oded:
Making final touches to a new update.
There you go. Hope there aren't any more typos. There were planty off them.
The TL;DR version is things are progressing.
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing what's going on with this one :)
Update written. Need to be proofread before I hit that publish button.
Frederik; indeed! It's a rather big one and I'm working on it! (But even harder on the game ...;)
Time for another update. :)
For Julien Fourgeaud
@David I think that's a very well deserved 420 comment. :-)
Congratulations, Oded! I'm so glad that Bolt Riley will finally get made.
Yea! do it small but do it GOOD! :-)
CJ I don't know if you will read this, but you just wrote my favourite Kickstarter comment ever :) That's frickin' awesome, even if I did write something similar to your quotes :D
I would love it if Oded DID use one of them.. would be EPIC!
Anyway, love to Bolt, mon, we be really jammin' and getting things nice an' irie now!
Thanks again everyone. I'm going to post an update tomorrow.
P.s. I totally did not know about that 24 hour thing. it's very interesting.
Congratulations, Oded. Looking forward to the game, and hope it earns enough so that you can make the rest of the chapters.
Peet, KickStarter is (my opinion) more about faith in an idea/project than the product itself. As I aid,Oded is legally bound to deliver or refund.
Since watching the early stages of the Bolt Riley saga, it dawned on me that certain backer comments could be used as a learning tool for future KickStarter projects. Here are some suggestions for future tiers:
The “31K in 7 days not sure what you are thinking...... I'm thinking impossibility and stupidity.... No offence” tear.
The “3 days left and not even 10K” tear.
The “Campaign is way too short with three days left you should be in the 15-18K mark by now” tear.
The “big pledges are not going to happen sorry :(“ tear.
The “you just got way too overconfident and too cocky” tear.
The “4 hours ? That is the shortest game ever lol” tear.
The “$32K in 7 days does put backers off. it has put me off pledging higher” tear.
The “I'm not trying to be an ass but i think you have over estimated how kickstarter works” tear.
The “i have seen 30-60 day campaigns start and finish with BIG FAT ZERO” tear.
The “And this Flappy Potato Salad crap is this you trying to make a mockery of what Kickstarter is about? you what i'm out” tear.
congratulations to you Oded and of course all of us backers that now will be able to play this promising game. " I don't like reggae, I love it" :D
My guess would be they put the whole "can't pull pledge in last 24 hours" policy because of trolls / griefers. Smart move on their part.
And hey...I think I just got comment #420!
Congratulations! I'm really looking forward to the game!
Congratulations, Oded! Glad it worked out this time. Looking forward to the completed chapter and the campaign for Chapter 2 (preferably in that order).
If I am honest, I do not have 100% faith in this project but I put some money towards it just because I would love to play this game.
I hope we get to do that :)
Best of luck Oded, I hope you deliver a great game :D
@Criswell. Correct. Once the project enters the final 24 hours of the KS campaign and reaches (or has reached) it's funding goal, a backer may only withdraw the full total of their pledge if it will mean the project still stays fully funded. For example, say you have a $10k pledge and the project is over funded by $7k with less than 24 hours to go, then you could in that case, only reduce your pledge down to $3k. Prior to that 24 hours you could have even cancelled your entire $10k pledge. You could of cause, continue to do small decreases for the remainder of your $3k pledge (whilst their is still time on the clock and other backers are adding to the overall total). Anyhow, you're right - it's not something we really ever want to see or do. ;)
Russell, let me try to understand this. If it's the last 24 hours, and I pull some or all of my pledge, and I don't cause the project to drop below goal, I can do that? As a matter of respect to the creator, this is not something I would normally do. Either I would have to be in dire financial straits (then I would do that earlier because I knew it earlier) or the project creator threw in a serious last minute dealbreaker. In that case, I'd likely NOT be the only one making that decision at that point.
Congrats! And now Duke Grabowski :)
Congrats ! we did it :)
