This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Tue, June 4 2019 3:56 PM UTC +00:00.
Pull on your mask, hike up your tights, and strut into the dusty arena as one of four “sort-of-famous” wrestlers to battle your nemesis in this high-flying, card-based, luchador-themed wrestling game.
Hit your opponent with a Body Slam or Spinning Drop Kick, Slap them around a bit, and then Taunt them for good measure. Once you’ve softened them up enough, go for the win with a Pin or Submit.
After the match is over, catch your breath and shuffle up to fight another round to establish the true “King of the Ring” in Solo Una Noche!
We want to give you an amazing game experience and look forward to achieving several stretch goals that will allow us to produce Solo Una Noche using the highest quality materials.
In order to keep our funding level as low as possible though, we will begin by having all character cards, player aids, and crowd support tiles produced using gloss card stock.
Solo Una Noche comes with everything you need to play three different match styles:
Use your deck of cards to go head-to-head against your opponent. Attack, Respond, Pin, Submit, or K.O. your way to victory!
In Equipo de la Etiqueta (Tag Team), you and your partner join together to defeat another pair of wrestlers. Your goal as a team is to Pin, Submit, or K.O. one member of the opposing team.
Todos Contra Todos (Melee) is an everyone-for-themselves, no-holds-barred brawl for victory. There are no Pins or Submits. The last wrestler standing wins.

Solo Una Noche is a simple game with simple mechanics and simple dreams of Kickstarter domination. We want to honor this simplicity of form and gameplay with simplicity in our stretch goals as well.
That being said, we've created a short list of upgrades that will take your Solo Una Noche experience to a whole new level of quality and awesomeness.
And no secrets here... we're showing you all of our stretch goals from day one so you can be in on the dream with us as well!
“It’s a great blast of fun that feels like you’re working a no holds barred wrestling match.” —Ryan and Melody, The Whole Card
“I had a ton of fun playing Solo Una Noche when it was a finalist in the Board Game Design Lab’s design contest. At four players, there was a ton of back and forth action with more interesting decisions than you’d expect from such a fast-paced card game. It was all the fun of hitting your friend with a chair without any of the legal ramifications (or brain damage).” —Gabe, Board Game Design Lab
“It didn’t take magic eagle eggs or stretchy pants for me to realize Solo Una Noche is the people’s champion game.” —Daniel Zayas, The Daniel Zayas Company
“We all absolutely loved this game. The mechanisms in Solo Una Noche kept us coming back for multiple plays. We loved the variety of game types available within the box. It was great having an option for head-to-head, tag team and battle royal depending on how many people wanted to play. The subtle details are where this game really shines for us. The characters are well thought out and the interesting facts about each wrestler, aren’t only hilarious, but they really flesh out the game and make it easy to root for your favorite wrestler(s). The unique characters and abilities are enjoyable and approachable enough to keep non-wrestling fans (if those even exist!) interested.” —Josh, The Board Boys Podcast
“Everything about Solo Una Noche reminds me of the drama of professional wrestling. From over-the -top characters and zany combos you can pull off to the swing of favor for each player. There are plenty of table-pounding moments to be had when you have your opponent on the ropes only to find yourself in that same position. We had tons of fun. “ —Corry Damey, Designer of Fields of Rice
“Solo Una Noche is a light and whimsical card game full of dramatic reversals of fortune and outrageous and punishing combos.“ —Ellen Kirby

Risks and challenges
Thank you so much for believing in our first project!
We recognize that supporting a first time publisher can feel like being a welterweight in the ring with a super heavyweight. While we are little, we are scrappy and will fight our way through to provide the best possible service from Kickstarter to fulfillment.
Prior to our Kickstarter campaign, we have completed the majority of the illustration, fine-tuned all game play, and designed the graphics needed to send it off for manufacturing. We are aiming to be ready for production by July 2019... sooner if possible.
While we have done as much as we possibly can up front to mitigate issues that can arise in production, manufacturing, and shipping, we will do our best to keep you updated with the successes and challenges that may arise. We are planning to use a trusted fulfillment company that can easily scale to handle all our shipping and handling needs and are still finalizing which production company we will be using (but it will be one of the trusted ones in the board game industry to ensure everything is produced at the professional quality we expect).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
