Frequently Asked Questions
Who are you? I have never heard of Solidteknics before?
If this is the first time you've heard of us, we are not another overnight marketing exercise by crowdfunding hipsters. We're real mechanical engineers who cook, and we've spent decades researching a way to make a machine-wrought solid 1-piece iron (or stainless) pan. We found a way, and patented it, then instead of running offshore for max profits like most others, we committed to investing in local Australian and American production.
After 23 successful Kickstarters in Australia plus 9 in the USA over 5 years, we've built our wrought iron pans to #1 in Australia in kitchenware retailers, exported them all around the world, and received wide acclaim from chefs and experts for revolutionizing iron cookware: www.solidteknics.com/testify
We hope the cooks of America will embrace our vision for healthy, sustainable, multi-century, locally-made cookware, just like the Aussies have. We can only get there with your support on Kickstarter and social media.
That's why we always say, 'together we're making history, not just the world's best cookware!'

IT IS THIS KIND OF FEEDBACK THAT DRIVES US FORWARD IN OUR VISION FOR A NEW, WORLD-LEADING, AMERICAN COOKWARE INDUSTRY.....
After all the hard work creating what we believe are the best wrought iron and stainless steel pans in the world today, and creating a whole new cookware industry for Australia made (AUS-ION) and now the American made (US-ION and noni), we are very grateful for such solid support from the experts and home cooks.....and, yes, we are very proud.
In advance, thank you!Last updated:
Kickstarter only allows you to back one reward at a time, because it is a system that was really designed for crowdfunding, not online retail. So if you can't find a set that matches your needs, why not build your own?!
An example - you need to log into Kickstarter, click 'manage your pledge' and change the amount pledged to total the amount of the pans you would like plus $19 shipping for your first pan and $10 shipping per pan thereafter (for US States). If you are outside the USA, please message us for the shipping cost.
How do I manage my pledge? CLICK HERE - https://help.kickstarter.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005126814-How-can-I-change-my-pledge-amount-
To back any of the following pans, please adjust your pledge by the cost of the pan plus shipping.
8" noni Saute pan = $149
10" noni Skillet = $149
11" noni Saute pan + Skillet-lid = $359
7.5" US-ION Skillet = $59
10" US-ION Skillet = $89
11" US-ION Crepe/Griddle Flat Skillet = $98
12" US-ION Skillet = $99
Please then be sure to direct message us with the list of the extra pans you have added in.
Thank you to everyone who has done this to date - it has been extremely helpful.Last updated:
To pledge to a project, make sure you're first logged in to your Kickstarter account.
Once you've found a reward that interests you, just click the green “Back This Project” button on the campaign page. Alternatively, you can scroll down to select a reward tier.
After you’ve selected your reward tier, you’ll be prompted to enter your payment information. If your reward involves shipping, be sure to select the appropriate country from the drop-down.
If you don't want a specific reward tier, select "Make a pledge without a reward" and enter your desired pledge amount.
Lastly, click the “Pledge" button and you’ll be all set! You should receive a confirmation email after completing your pledge.

YES! Our IRON and STAINLESS pans work with any heat source, including induction. Being solid dense sheet iron/steel (not cast) they heat very efficiently, and evenly. They are also safe on any surface, including ceramic/glass tops and not abrasive like enameled cast iron.
They are also perfect in any oven (except microwave!), and also tough enough for camp cooking on open flame.....for many generations. Guaranteed.Last updated:
