About our Founder: Adrian Solgaard
Hi I’m Adrian the Canadian. I'm 30 years old now.
When I was 14 I bought my first video camera to make BMX movies. When I was 16 I started a T shirt company. At 17 I competed in my first pro BMX contest. At 18 my career started as an editor of a TV show aired weekly across Canada. I've run my own company since I was 23, the year I directed my first TV commercial and Music video. When I was 26 I launched my first successful Kickstarter campaign. A month before I turned 30 Lifepack sales broke over a million dollars. I accomplished a lot at a young age and now as I’m 30 I have started to reflect and look back - hard work, dedication, and consistency is what got me to where I am today. I aim to make products that help others to achieve their best.
I have always loved solar technology - I have wanted to be involved in it since I was a young kid - but it was always out of reach since the panels are so large and installations are a big deal. Then I realized - for travellers like me, millenials like me, we all want to support green energy. This is our chance to be the change we want to see in the world! By making renewable energy in a transportable format we can all be part of a better future.
We’re not just making bags - we’re making tools at the intersection of fashion and technology to help you get ahead.

Questions from first time Kickstarter backers:
'What do you mean "back this project"? I just want to order one!'
Kickstarter is not a store. Kickstarter is a place to bring creative projects to life. When you 'back' our project in return we will send you a product as a thank you. Simple as that - it's a lot like pre-ordering :)
How to Back
1. Choose a reward level. Everybody can choose one (and only one) reward level to back this project.
2. If you want to add something, check out the Add-On Menu after you back the project when our campaign closes.
3. That's it for now! When the campaign ends in August, we will then as for the details like your shipping address and color preference.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
The 2-in-1 Solarbank is included in all bags. Solar Charging works like this: When the Solarbank is out in the sun you will see the lights blink to indicate that it is charging. If the battery on the Solarbank is full, the solarbank will not charge so it will not be overcharged. The Solarbank includes: Solar Panel which generates around 400mAh of power per hour in ideal sunlight. 2 Standard USB ports for charging your devices. 1 USB Type-C input/output port. 1 Micro-USB input port for charging via a standard phone charger. 2A input is supported through Micro USB. 2A output is supported by standard USB. Quick Charge: The Solarbank provides QC 2.0 - Quick Charge 2.0 Standard of charging when charging up the solarbank from the wall and a certified QC USB Type C charger. How many charges can I get in my phone from the Solarbank? 10,000 mAh in the battery means up to 5 charges for an iPhone 7. The reason we say up to is that battery capacity can fluxuate depending on temperature and age of the battery on your phone.
Upgraded Lock We learned a lot from our first campaign and first lock - we had a 1.5% failure rate on the last locks. Which means we have had over 150 broken locks our of the 15,000 bags we have sold. We have made a totally new lock now which is higher quality and longer lasting.
THE BACKPACK - 5 Year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
THE SHOULDER BAG - 5 Year warranty against any manufacturing defects.
The Solarbank - Warranty coverage on the Solarbank is 1 year as per standard international agreements on electronics. Electronics are more susceptible to damage than bags are.
Shipping, Taxes, VAT, Duties:
Shipping to USA, Canada, EU, Australia, and Hong Kong are fully landed with duties paid. You will receive the product at no extra cost. Backers in countries outside of these areas may face import duties when the bag lands in their country. Most countries in this area will ship from Hong Kong.

Risks and challenges
This is our third Kickstarter campaign. We believe in always keeping transparent communication with our backers and padding our timeframe estimates to avoid disappointment. Between our team of 6 people we have a combined 35 years of manufacturing experience.
Supply chain risks: Low. We're working with manufacturing partners trusted by the world's top brands.
Shipping risks: Low. We have allowed some breathing room in our time schedule for a few weeks delays due to customs - as sometimes that can happen when first importing a product into a country.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 risk: In our last campaign, the Galaxy Note 7 story happened - which added a month in delivery time as we wanted to run the batteries through and extra certification to ensure we were safe.
Unforseen risks: Whatever the hurdle, we'll get through it together. We take our backer support and communication very seriously and we promise to keep you in the loop with whatever is going on.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
