Fantastic and important question. The $30,000 goal essentially represents our break even amount. We have spent a great deal on this release including acquisition, legal, manufacturing, trademark, programmer and artist costs.
A fair question. Please keep in mind there will always be delays in the manufacturing part. July is worst case scenario should we have unexpected delays. Our goal is to get you Socks the Cat as soon as absolutely possible. We are very excited for this project and even more excited to get you the game that you have waited so long for.
Not telling, that's our programmer's secret. JK - We found a programmer that works on SNES games and is familiar with the code. He was able to make adjustments and delete unnecessary text and fix a major issue that caused Socks to enter a "kill screen" on the 6th or 7th level and deplete his lives, thus ending the game. Don't worry we have the original unedited ROM archived for preservation
I guess you'll have to play to find out. What we will say is they were all unknown to us as well. As we played through the game there were MANY times when we reached an end boss that generated quite a few chuckles and an occasional "WTF?"
He*l yeah it's fun. You play as a cat and swipe the faces of political figures. What's not fun about that?!? It's also challenging, in a good way. Don't expect to just pick up the controller and beat the game. Unless you are Thor Ackerlund that's probably not going to happen
We know people. Not sure why this question has riled people up but our publisher, Second Dimension and 3 other team members have released other retro video games for multiple platforms. That experience has led us to locate vendors for manufacturing the games. We will be using SNES style cart shells for Socks
We're terribly sorry for any confusion about this. Tom is the owner of Socks, thus he owns/runs campaign. Second Dimension helps out where possible, which includes the publishing of the physical releases.
