Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Here’s how:
1. Start by pledging for a reward tier that you want.
2. Add the reward price and additional shipping cost for the additional rewards to your pledge amount manually.
3. Two months before delivery, we’ll invite you to complete your Reward Survey. This survey will let you choose and confirm the additional Kickstarter reward items you’ve selected, set a delivery address, and add add-on items (optional) to your pledge. Then we’ll arrange the package and delivery of all your rewards correctly.
1. If your original pledge is early bird, the price of your additional model shall use the related Kickstarter Special reward price. We will try to ship all of your rewards at the same time and use the shipping time of your original pledge level. However, if there're too many early bird backers backing multiple models, before the delivery, we may need to contact you to confirm that you want us to ship all of your rewards at the same time or prefer to ship them separately.
2. For non early bird rewards, we will ship all of your rewards at the same time if you back multiple models using one account.Last updated:
Due to Kickstarter’s funding model, Kickstarter doesn’t charge backers at the time of pledging. Instead, backers are only charged for a pledge if the project meets the deadline and reaches its funding goal. Pledges for higher level reward tiers are subject to an authorization check, such as over $1,000.
Authorizations function in different ways, depending on a backer's bank. Some authorizations will drop after a few days, while others may be in place until the project ends. We recommend that backer's contact their bank for more details about their authorization procedure.
If you have any questions or concerns about the pledge payment, please contact Kickstarter Support team as soon as possible.Last updated:
When a project ends, Kickstarter starts a 7-day pledge collection process. If your pledge fails to be collected, Kickstarter will send you email reminders. Please pay attention to those reminders (with an email subject of “Action Needed”) and resolve your payment issues by June 12.
- Check that you’ve entered a valid credit card number and the correct expiration date.
- Make sure the card has not expired.
- Confirm that your billing information is correct.
- Make sure you haven't exceeded the credit limit on your card.
If everything checks out and your pledge still can't be processed then it’s possible that your bank put a hold on the charge. Sometimes banks will decline charges if they don't align with a card holder’s regular spending patterns. Therefore, as a final resort you need to contact your bank to ask them to process this charge before asking Kickstarter support team to process your payment again.

SPECS: What're the repeatability, max. travel length, backlash of the linear modules of three models?
Max. Travel Length:
A150: 171 mm
A250: 267 mm
A350: 363 mm
Yes. Our 3-in-1 software, Snapmakerjs, is tailor-made for your Snapmaker machines. It supports multiple models printing/engraving/cutting/carving so that you can set all the parameters and get things done in one operation.Last updated:
We really appreciate the help and patience from the Kickstarter and open source community. You helped us learn and grow. Now it's our turn to contribute. We decided to open source Snapmakerjs and firmware in November when the first batch of Snapmaker 2.0 is shipped. Some of the add-ons (Enclosure, LED Strips, etc.) will be available for preorder when you fill in your Reward Survey, approximately two months before delivery. Generally, the items that you add in your Reward Survey will be shipped together with your Kickstarter rewards. However, it’s likely that most add-ons and upgrade kits (Rotary Module, Multi Material Module, Filter, and more) will be available for preorder after this Kickstarter campaign and these items will be shipped after the fulfillment of all Kickstarter rewards.Last updated:
A150 doesn't work for the rotary module since its max. carving working height is too low. Both A250 and A350 work for the rotary module.Last updated:
Yes. The Multi Material Module development has a priority of P2, which means that it will be released soon: Will be available for preorder when we start shipping out Kickstarter rewards. & Will be delivered after most Kickstarter rewards.Last updated:
ADD-ONS: Do you have any plans for providing the higher laser power module add-on / single linear module?
Yes. The fulfillment of this campaign takes the top priority, and these add-ons will be available in the near future. You can learn more about our plan in this update:
Yes. The linear modules in different sizes as well as the workspace upgrade kits will be available after the fulfillment of this campaign.Last updated:
We’ve designed a steel sealing strip to make the linear modules enclosed. It can eliminate the problem of dirt accumulation and protect all internal components effectively, making them even more durable. The linear modules don’t require daily maintenance. We can provide you the tutorials for keeping the machine in good status if needed.Last updated:
The original model’s linear modules, the 3D Printing Module, Laser Module and CNC Carving Module can be used in Snapmaker 2.0 with specific adapters, which will be released after the fulfillment of all Kickstarter rewards. For other modules in the original model, they cannot be used in Snapmaker 2.0. All the Snapmaker 2.0 modules cannot be used in the original model.Last updated:
Supported materials: 1.75mm PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, Wood Filled PLA, more being tested.Last updated:
3D PRINTING: Why is the relationship of the maximum heated bed temperature of the three models: A350<A250<A150?
This limitation mainly results from the balance of high performance and affordability for all three models. The heated bed needs a large amount of power supply, especially for an extremely large heated bed. If the maximum heated bed temperature of A350 is designed to be 110°C, the power module will be very big, heavy and expensive. Therefore, after evaluating the pros and cons, we decided to use a most cost efficient solution. Moreover, this design ensures a more stable performance for all three models.Last updated:
The default nozzle diameter for most FDM printers is 0.4 mm, and Snapmaker’s nozzles used in A150, A250, and A350 are no different. In the near future, we will release more options of nozzles with various sizes so that you can use a smaller nozzle for detailed (but slower) prints, while larger nozzles for fast prints.Last updated:
