One More Stop to Oz
Greetings, #KeepThemRuby friends!
After 18 months and hundreds of hours of dedicated conservation work, Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers have made their way home to the National Museum of American History’s newly unveiled Culture Wing, all thanks to you!
We're over the rainbow to have the Slippers back on display at the museum. However, their story doesn’t end there!
While the Slippers currently reside in a custom gallery to celebrate their return, they will ultimately become a cornerstone of the museum’s new Entertaining America exhibition, set to open in late 2020. There, the Slippers will join countless objects from American history to illuminate how entertainment brings Americans together, shapes us and provides a forum for important national conversations.
Excited? So are we!
You've seen the tremendous impact you had when you helped #KeepThemRuby. No other museum can tell this story of American entertainment like the National Museum of American History. We need your continued support to ensure the Entertaining America exhibition – and all of the research, conservation and education happening at the museum – inspires visitors for generations to come.
Support the National Museum of American History with a gift today. Together, we will explore the past, make sense of the present and create a more humane future.
