A feature-length documentary highlighting the world's best cartoonists...talking about the art form they love, and where it's going.
2,601 backers pledged $109,025 to help bring this project to life.

Video Update

In today's bonus video for STRIPPED, we wanted to share four "rough cuts" from our interviews:

Specifically:
- Kate Beaton (Hark! A Vagrant) talks about being a self-taught cartoonist
- Richard Thompson (Cul de Sac) talks about getting a late-night e-mail from Bill Watterson
- Greg Evans (Luann) talks about listening to your characters
- Ryan North (Dinosaur Comics) talks about how comics fell into three genres

With these rough-cut video updates, we're going to try to give you a wider sense of the film, and the kind of great, intimate moments you can expect.  As we've said before, we really want STRIPPED to be a love-letter to cartooning.

And! For those in the US who missed our update over the holiday weekend, a reminder: We have a secret bonus clip of Jim Davis, just for backers of the film.  Check out update #2 for the details (Here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/smallfish/stripped-the-comics-documentary/posts )

Thank you all!

We will not be offering the film in Blu-Ray format, no, but it was filmed in HD, yes.

Will you guys be offering a blu-ray option, or is it not filmed in HD?

As you can hear Ian we obviously need to do some sound work but with your help we'll be able to make these interviews sound crisp and clear.

I'm sure you'll make the sound balance better in the final product? :)
