The floppy DRIVE comic books contained about 30-40 pages of the story each, which only adds up to about *half* of Act One. In comparison, this hardcover book will be 288 pages, and will include:
- The full Act One
- Five "Tales of the Drive" guest stories, told by some of the amazing artists working today
- Pages and pages of never-before-seen concept art and behind-the-scenes looks from DRIVE
Additionally, I've reworked and enhanced a lot of the earlier comics, to bring them up to snuff with the latest pages. The art in 2-3 dozen strips was reworked and improved, the fonts in 4-5 dozen strips were changed to enhance legibility and match the full story, and the first 100 or so strips were given the once-over, so that they look the best they possibly can.
All these reworked strips, and this book in general, will be the gold standard for what DRIVE will look and feel like, going forward. The mastered canon, if you will.
The hardcovers — of which there'll be three volumes when the full story completes — are really what you'll want to hold on to for decades as the "complete" story.
Hope that helps!
