I don't understand why there wasn't a demo of a real physical version of the product? You posted a video earlier on, where someone did show it, but not now. Even some of the images with the Slidenjoy team are without the product, just standard laptops. That for me is strange.
So, I kindly ask you to post a video of the latest version of the Slidenjoy product over 2-3 minutes. As we seem to be within 3 months of deliveries, then we should by now see a fully working pre-production model with an explanation of the new improvements and an overview of the technical specs. I think this is not asking too much. Can you deliver and when? It doesn't need to be a high quality film.
@Carlos: Of course, this was what we initially planned, but we wanted to adapt also to the new technology of USB-C :)
And Colin: We'll start shipping in November, beginning of course to deliver the backers!
6 days ago you wrote "The only thing everyone truly wants (including us) is the product being delivered and this will be soon" - what's your definition of soon? Day, week, month, year? thanks!
@bel57 (and V as well!): I suggest you to watch the streaming (or later, the video) tonight on Facebook! I know for a fact that Laurent is going to talk about his past and I think it might interest you.
See you tonight!
@V: wow, you really have mad detective skills. Not sure what we should think about Slidenjoy.
I made some research and discovered that the previous company has gone bankrupt, nut ignored all these facts.
In addition to the certified document that will be published by Mr Border we should ask him to find out if this business/production Willand well or if he can already see bad signs..
Anyway despite this whole 'affaire' I hope everyone will get his Slidenjoy in November.
I have had enough now. After seeing your latest update showing us your commitment to diluting your time even more into other projects when this one has been on the rocks and frankly a shambles since the beginning, my patience has gone and I want a refund of my €338 I trustfully gave to you. When the SlideNJoy is released in stores I may reconsider, but for now I want my investment back. Contact me to confirm you have received this please.
@V: Looks like we do agree :) But if you wish to discuss any point you've brought up, that's no problem, it was just confusing to read your comments and I was wondering if you wanted answers, I don't know! If it's the case, feel free to ask! :)
You got it. I think we'll all believe it when we see it. But I can't take credit for all of that information. It was shared with me.
I think all of the information is necessary background to know. The history of the company. The ownership changing hands and the ties between them. The previously failed/bankrupt business ventures that were brought up and ignored. The deception that has been consistent to the backers. If nothing else, I've simply answered why you (the Slidenjoy team) has a severe lack of credibility amongst the backers. It's unfortunate and I'm sure we'd all like to hope you will, eventually, fulfill your end of the deal. For that, we can do nothing but wait and see.
@V: I have to say I'm quite impressed by your talents of detective but I don't really see your point... These infos are no secrets, but not really necessary either? I don't know!
I think that something you have all to keep in mind is that we obviously work on the project. You mention TaiPro (and you're right, they are good!), you could have also mentioned IOL (we talk a lot about them in our updates)... People are working on the project. Not only us, there's a whole team behind it!
So yes, we're confident this product will be out soon... Because we've chosen the best people we could find to make it happen!
And yes it took time, yes we were a bit too busy to write to you sometimes, we've made mistakes, everyone does when launching a project, the project is well delayed now... We won't deny that. But be sure that the only thing that really matters to us is the product, and when you'll get it, we truly hope you'll love it as much as we do!
Of course this sounds like bullshit to you, probably, and saying that this isn't won't change that. The only thing everyone truly wants (including us) is the product being delivered and this will be soon so, let's wait a bit more together :)
Also about Laurent Wery: He states that he had a 800 men company, people did some research and found that the company name was CODIPACK.
According to the Public Company Search, there are 2 CODIPACK's: one Active and one Bankrupt To me the Active one doesn't seem to have anything do to with him.
The bankrupt one is located in Charleroi --> the hometown of Laurent Wery
This bankrupt CODIPACK was founded in 1993 and went bankrupt in 2000. It also had another name: MANUPACK
It had the following address: Avenue de Philippeville 225, Charleroi. Another company with the same address and the same activity was also located there: INSERPACK.
It existed from 2003 and went bankrupt in 2014
To me these guys seem to be the fortune founders-type looking for the mother lode. But without doing too much effort. Nothing wrong with that and if someone is able to do that then that's good for him but as long as you don't do this on other peoples back of and lie or steal about it. And there it goes wrong.
Going bankrupt seems to be part of the job, the next step to success
I think their self confidence is boosted again because of the participation of TaiPro and therefor they have this little arrogance in their comments.
CODIPACK / MANUPACK is indeed the company owned by Laurent Wery and went bankrupt in 2000
If you follow this link with it's 1996 layout-style:
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_tsv/tsv_rech.pl… and click on the right on one of the ALL PUB-buttons (they link to the same page) a new page opens. Almost at the bottom it says that it went bankrupt and
that Laurent Wery is considered liquidator. Documents weren't scanned and made available available to the public then.
The address: Avenue Philippeville 225, 6001 Charleroi and according to Google streetview this is the address:
The store to the left Aldi is nr 223 and the building on the right, CE is 227 or 229. So MANUPACK was located between them in the back. (the street with the Mini Cooper)
I don't think 800 ppl can work there ;)
Fyi: Later on, in 2003 another company started here, also packaging, but I don't think these people are related. It also went bankrupt.
On their website you can see that the company behind this is "120 Pixels" (VAT nr: BE0479150108)
From the link below we learn that the company is a Limited and it exists as from Dec 2002, and it is Active.
Current people involved:
- Castro Rodriguez, Thomas (member or part of the company)
- Jeunhomme, Charlee (idem)
- Wery, Laurent (owner)
http://kbopub.economie.fgov.be/kbopub/toonondernemingps.html…
Here is a little history of the company:
They are not the original founders; It was founded by Andre Belle and Samantha Hubert. Here is the link: (on the first page you will see their names. Andre has 185 shares, Poor Samantha only has 1 (one) Total 186 shares)
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2003/01/07/03002247.pdf
In this document from 2010 Andre is back in the company and Samantha leaves. She donates all her shares (94) to Andre and Frederique also gives 82 shares to him.
Andre has 176 shares, Frederique: 10, Samantha: 0
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2010/06/09/10082670.pdf
On the 19th of June 2015 the company get it's current form:
Frederique gives his 10 shares to Laurent Wery.
Samantha leaves the company again and split's her shares:
- 54 to Laurent Wery (+ 10 shares from Frederique) = 64
- 61 to Charlee Jeunhomme
- 61 to Thomas Castro
The company is also transfered to a new address.
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2015/09/03/15125913.pdf
In Belgium there is a law that says that the founders of a Limited are fully responsible for everything the first 3 years. So for example if your Limited goes bankrupt within the first 3 years and still has to pay 1.000.000 invoices then you have to pay for it privatly. If you don't have the money then they sell your house, car, ... That is probably the reason why they took over a Limited that existed more than 3 years.
It's something that happens more in Belgium.
Suppose they go bankrupt (and it is not fraudulent) then nothing can happen to them privately.
From the August 2015 Balance Sheet we can see that the company owns about 25.800 euro's. Please note that this is still the previous company where Frederique and Samantha were the owners.
There are no publications after the 19th of June 2015 so we can assume that the company kept the same balance of about 25.000 euro's. Not much for a 3 man company but then again it's a starter and that's why they go on kickstarter.
Fyi: In Belgium you have to bring in your balance sheet before the 1st of September. So we have to wait a little longer to see their balance sheet of 2015. This is the year where they
collected 600.000 so that will probably look very positive. Unfortunally we have to wait until September 2017 to see what they did in 2016.
Public company search for Tender 2 learns us that it is in:"Opening Failliessement" which means: bankrupt. as from the 3rd of July 2015. (2 weeks before they started 120 Pixels)
http://kbopub.economie.fgov.be/kbopub/zoeknummerform.html…
Although they are not the owners of this company (so I don't know what exactly they have to do with this) this is the website
www.tender2.be and it looks very professional. These guys really know how to do a decent marketing.
In "The Information that Everybody needs", Under Electronic Engineering you can read
Hi, I am Fabrice Audry, electronic engineer for the company « Taipro Engineering » !
Taipro Engineering is a team of 6 people, and we were asked to work on Slidenjoy for the product development.
But better: They already entered their balance sheet 2015 (a few weeks ago on the 24th of May 2016). They have an activa of 1.300.000 euro (not bad for a 6 man company) and it seems that they take their business very serious.
They recently found this Taipro Engineering company and that's why they have to start from scratch, if they didn't find them things would have gone really bad.
Interesting to know: 120 Pixels' activity is listed as 'Reclamebureaus' which means Advertising Company. Technically this is against the law (see it a bit as a painter who sells vegetables)
and competitors can use this against them claiming that they are not licensed for selling electronic stuff. In reality they probably have to change their activity. takes a few weeks and costs a few 100's euro's.
Fyi: At the end of the page there is a link 'Publicaties Jaarrekeningen NBB' --> This is where you can find the balance sheets.
http://kbopub.economie.fgov.be/kbopub/toonondernemingps.html…
Laurent, Samantha Hubert (the founder of 120 pixels!), Andre Belle (the other founder of 120 Pixels) and Frederique Belle (who joined 120 Pixels later) all clearly know each other and are friends.
Charlee (http://www.ceeym.com) goes about body building and his other passion: travelling... This guy was in the beginning of his 20's and travelled a lot. Seems like SlidenJoy also gives him this opportunity...
https://translate.google.be/translate…
About selling 5% of the shares: Not completely sure why they want to do this. Another guess: The guy from TaiPro Engineering believes in the product and demanded 5% of the shares? Otherwise he doesn't help them.
The shares of this company aren't avaliable on the market so if they hand over shares to someone else then it needs to be published and if so, then we will find it here in the coming weeks:
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_tsv/tsv_rech.pl…
In their linkedIn profile you see that they are the founders of Anex3.
www.anex3.com/tender2 (we already know about this one)
www.anex3.com/anex3/ (It's also French, Google translation is also 90% accurate. It's about them wanting to help 5 young, starting businesses...) It's from 2014 so before the SlidenJoy adventure
To All Backers:
I wanted to share some information and background that has been compiled about the history of this project, the company, and the owners. Please note that this has been gathered from different sources and different people. I am only relaying here because I think all of the backers have a right to know this information. The comments have limited capacity, so the information will come in the following two posts.
Bonne semaine !
Since you guys are finally giving replies on the refund. Please kindly get back to me on the refund procedures like what you gave to @Fabian Kirsch. I totally agree with what he said. 70% of the updates you gave for the past whole year has just essays to buy more time. I have totally zero faith in you and the product itself. It has been a total letdown.
I would appreciate if you guys can stop wasting my time and refund me my money. You can work on whatever future projects or partnership you want and spend another year wasting other's time.
Hi everyone,
You give me quite a lot to read after this weekend :)
So, let's try to answer everything!
@Joe: The kickstand added is only when you're working on a table, a desk, or something like that - that you could also find in your travels. But this is still possible to use it on your lap, when you have the laptop in your hands. So nothing has changed about that. As I've said, we're discussing at the moment the best way to handle this people-who-backed-for-a-single thing :) I'll let you know when a decision is taken.
@Patrick: it is matte screens :)
@Fabian: I'll message you right after I finish to write this comment. But as I've already answered to previous comments:
We won't loose any energy in PiLeaf and the kickstand doesn't influence the use on your lap.
@bel57: Hello!
I think backers will bombarded the Pileaf project saying don't ever backed this project. Because you will have to wait a year or more after its being funded and no guarantee that you'll get it or get a refund. :(
I agree with @Fabian Kirsch please answer his question.
Dear Slidenjoy Team,
Please message me about refund procedures.
1. You have conclusively shown your struggle to deliver one project in time and quality. Now you are diverting energy to a new project. This will put Slidenjoy at more risk (this statement is true even if Slidenjoy would remain your top priority. however, I see a risk that the team will again focus on media coverage and government relations, rather than product delivery).
2. Regarding Slidenjoy itself, I agree with Joe that the Kickstand is disappointing. The attachment of Slidenjoy to the screen as well as the weight balance were two major design advantages from my point of view.
Thank you for your Support in refunding my pledge.
Bon dimanche :)
I'm sure you have answered this before, but are the screens on the slide n joy going to have a glossy or a matt finish? I ask this because I am now on the search for a new laptop and would like all of the screens to match.
Then, what will be the option for the backers which ordered a sinlge one?
I'm disappointed avout the fact with the kickstand - now you need a desk to work with. The product isn't a must have anymore. In the beginning your vision was working completely free without a working place. A mobile laptop with two monitors....that isn't the product I backed and I want. Very sad....
I know, you always say "we want a good product." "We want the best for you" eg....but this isn't the right way when you change the whole concept.
@Jorgen: No, I haven't said that. That wouldn't be nice for the people who backed for a Twins. Sorry if you were hoping! I said we have to find what to do with people who backed for a Single version and that we have no good solution at the moment.
Hello Slidenjoy, great work, delayed but it looks like things are back on track.
One question that I have, after all of this is on tracks, when are you going to star working in the magnetic case? I have not seen any more information related to the case for a while.
@Olesh: We'll check all email/delivery address/... right before we ship, but if you'd like to change it already, just send us a PM :) Would be something already done!
@Slidenjoy: That sounds good to me! I actually have another question. A while ago we responded to a survey that allowed us to personalize our Slidenjoys with images that we chose, and also had our mailing addresses. If those who ordered a single are receiving a double, the personalizing changes; at this point my mailing address has also changed. Is there going to be another survey put out closer to the shipping date of the devices?
@Jackie Allum: We don't think that improving the product you originally "paid for" is a breach of contract :) We won't have any more "excuses", we're almost ready, as written in the update; and you'll get your product by the end of the year :)
If the design is changed from what we originally paid for, isn't that a breach of contract? I really don't feel at all confident that you're going to actually get the item to us and it's just a never ending list of excuses each month. I might not even have a laptop by the time it happens!
@Olesh: We discuss it at the moment, seems like you'll receive also a double version but no final decision on it at the moment.
@Joe: I don't know which video you're talking about, in the last update I said I was waiting for photos (and I still am: they weren't working on Friday, as it was National day on Thursday, so... It's now Monday 9 A.M and I'm calling them to get the pictures, then I'll be able to post that update!)
Hey guys, quick question. As my backing reward I chose the "single" screen design, as opposed to the double. On the current website it only shows the "double" design, so is the single still going to be available to the backers who chose that design? (I'm fine with it either way, I'm just wondering!)
It's national day here in Belgium - and I'm working, but nobody else is... Unfortunately! I'm waiting for some pictures to post you an update with our current works. I'll post it tomorrow, hopefully!
I'm truly sorry about this long period without updates!
@KeithWiley:
We're finalizing the design. Things look good for this November deadline!
We should see the engineers team this week and I'll post an update then :)
@DanielYu:
First, we're just finalizing the design at the moment. Almost finished ! I'd say 90%.
Second point: I have now a week where it is possible to gather everyone, would be by the end of July. (Last week)
As I promised, as soon as I have a meeting settled I'll let you know !
@KimCovil: We've been less active this week, you're right. We'll be back next week with more updates. I was off this week and forgot to warn you ! Sorry about that. See you on Monday :)
The move to Snapchat updates was meant to give us a better view of the day to day workings of the team. I didn't want to have to install snapchat just to get updates from Slidenjoy, but I did. All I have really seen so far is them advertising other social media ventures and "communication tools for startups".
If this is an indication of the real work they have been doing, then it is no wonder it is still not ready yet.
Would you please keep us updated on the current development on:
1. The product -- You have acheived ??? % of the production plan so far? Are you still going to be able to ship a real finished product (including personalised ones )from the November 2016?
2. The report -
2.1 Has the baillif Tintin responded to your invitation? If yes, please tell us when we will have a detailed report?
2.2 If the baillif Tintin did not respond to your invitation, when are you going to contact the other baillif?
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.
@Benoit Dujardin

CODIPACK / MANUPACK is indeed the company owned by Laurent Wery and went bankrupt in 2000
If you follow this link with it's 1996 layout-style:
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_tsv/tsv_rech.pl…
and click on the right on one of the ALL PUB-buttons (they link to the same page) a new page opens. Almost at the bottom it says that it went bankrupt and
that Laurent Wery is considered liquidator. Documents weren't scanned and made available available to the public then.
The address: Avenue Philippeville 225, 6001 Charleroi and according to Google streetview this is the address:
https://www.google.be/maps/place/Trafic+Marcinelle/@50.3953959,4.4560974,3a,75y,83.55h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s177xbPh6iOWCZs4Jr1gLCQ!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo3.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3D177xbPh6iOWCZs4Jr1gLCQ%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D244.63474%26pitch%3D0!7i13312!8i6656!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x4440dd869694c6d2!8m2!3d50.3960216!4d4.4576142!6m1!1e1

In 2008, Frederique Belle is also part of the company (prob family of Andre) Andre seems to leave as he hands out his 185 shares: 93 to Samantha (she now has 94) and 92 to Frederique.
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2008/04/07/08050894.pdf
In this document from 2010 Andre is back in the company and Samantha leaves. She donates all her shares (94) to Andre and Frederique also gives 82 shares to him.
Andre has 176 shares, Frederique: 10, Samantha: 0
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2010/06/09/10082670.pdf
In 2014 Andre again leaves the company, Samantha comes back in and she gets all his shares (176)
http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/tsv_pdf/2014/03/24/14065568.pdf
On the 19th of June 2015 the company get it's current form:
Frederique gives his 10 shares to Laurent Wery.
Samantha leaves the company again and split's her shares:
- 54 to Laurent Wery (+ 10 shares from Frederique) = 64
- 61 to Charlee Jeunhomme
- 61 to Thomas Castro
The company is also transfered to a new address.

Fyi: Via their LinkedIn profiles you can see that they participated in a company called Tender 2
https://www.linkedin.com/in/werylaurent
https://www.linkedin.com/in/charleejeunehomme
https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-castro-a3bbb95b
Public company search for Tender 2 learns us that it is in:"Opening Failliessement" which means: bankrupt. as from the 3rd of July 2015. (2 weeks before they started 120 Pixels)
http://kbopub.economie.fgov.be/kbopub/zoeknummerform.html…
Although they are not the owners of this company (so I don't know what exactly they have to do with this) this is the website
www.tender2.be and it looks very professional. These guys really know how to do a decent marketing.
Fyi: This is how they attract investors. They really know their stuff to make good presentations...If I didn't know any better and then I would also fall for it ...
http://www.youblisher.com/p/1362186-Investor-EN/
The Chinese one: (note that it is slightly different)
https://issuu.com/slidenjoy/docs/investor-chinese_print
In "The Information that Everybody needs", Under Electronic Engineering you can read
Hi, I am Fabrice Audry, electronic engineer for the company « Taipro Engineering » !
Taipro Engineering is a team of 6 people, and we were asked to work on Slidenjoy for the product development.
Further investigation about Taipro Engineering and this company looks promising.
It exists since 2009
http://kbopub.economie.fgov.be/kbopub/toonondernemingps.html…

To those who've been contacted regarding refund procedures from the team, can you detail it here so we can follow.
Max am August 1
@Slidenjoy,
Since you guys are finally giving replies on the refund.
Thanks, I hope to get your reply ASAP.
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am August 1
@bel57: Hello!
@YF: I'll send you a PM in a few minutes!
YF am August 1
It is way too long for the delay.
Is it possible to refund?
What is the procedure?
Thanks.

I'm sure you have answered this before, but are the screens on the slide n joy going to have a glossy or a matt finish? I ask this because I am now on the search for a new laptop and would like all of the screens to match.
Joe am July 30
Then, what will be the option for the backers which ordered a sinlge one?
I'm disappointed avout the fact with the kickstand - now you need a desk to work with. The product isn't a must have anymore. In the beginning your vision was working completely free without a working place. A mobile laptop with two monitors....that isn't the product I backed and I want. Very sad....
I know, you always say "we want a good product." "We want the best for you" eg....but this isn't the right way when you change the whole concept.
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 28
@Jorgen: No, I haven't said that. That wouldn't be nice for the people who backed for a Twins. Sorry if you were hoping! I said we have to find what to do with people who backed for a Single version and that we have no good solution at the moment.
Jorgen Mourton am July 28
@slidenjoy Wait, what? Are you saying the people that only bought a single are getting a double upgrade for free?
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 28
@Bruno: I've asked about the magnetic cases, it's on its way too, we don't forget about that :)
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 27
@Bruno: Thanks! Let me get some news about this magnetic case and I'll answer you ASAP!
Bruno Cardoso am July 26
Hello Slidenjoy, great work, delayed but it looks like things are back on track.
One question that I have, after all of this is on tracks, when are you going to star working in the magnetic case? I have not seen any more information related to the case for a while.
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 26
@Olesh: We'll check all email/delivery address/... right before we ship, but if you'd like to change it already, just send us a PM :) Would be something already done!
Olesh am July 25
@Slidenjoy: That sounds good to me! I actually have another question. A while ago we responded to a survey that allowed us to personalize our Slidenjoys with images that we chose, and also had our mailing addresses. If those who ordered a single are receiving a double, the personalizing changes; at this point my mailing address has also changed. Is there going to be another survey put out closer to the shipping date of the devices?
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 25
@Jackie Allum: We don't think that improving the product you originally "paid for" is a breach of contract :) We won't have any more "excuses", we're almost ready, as written in the update; and you'll get your product by the end of the year :)
Jackie Allum am July 25
If the design is changed from what we originally paid for, isn't that a breach of contract? I really don't feel at all confident that you're going to actually get the item to us and it's just a never ending list of excuses each month. I might not even have a laptop by the time it happens!
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 25
@Olesh: We discuss it at the moment, seems like you'll receive also a double version but no final decision on it at the moment.
@Joe: I don't know which video you're talking about, in the last update I said I was waiting for photos (and I still am: they weren't working on Friday, as it was National day on Thursday, so... It's now Monday 9 A.M and I'm calling them to get the pictures, then I'll be able to post that update!)
Joe am July 25
Where's the video?
Again: If you announce something, then you have to bring it...
If you can't so it, post no "timeline".
Olesh am July 24
Hey guys, quick question. As my backing reward I chose the "single" screen design, as opposed to the double. On the current website it only shows the "double" design, so is the single still going to be available to the backers who chose that design? (I'm fine with it either way, I'm just wondering!)
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 21
Hi guys!
It's national day here in Belgium - and I'm working, but nobody else is... Unfortunately! I'm waiting for some pictures to post you an update with our current works. I'll post it tomorrow, hopefully!
I'm truly sorry about this long period without updates!
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 19
@KeithWiley:
We're finalizing the design. Things look good for this November deadline!
We should see the engineers team this week and I'll post an update then :)
Keith Wiley am July 18
Time for a new update. Where do things currently stand? Are we still expecting a late fall shipping date or has it slipped back?
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 16
@DanielYu:
Kim Covil am July 13
The move to Snapchat updates was meant to give us a better view of the day to day workings of the team. I didn't want to have to install snapchat just to get updates from Slidenjoy, but I did. All I have really seen so far is them advertising other social media ventures and "communication tools for startups".
If this is an indication of the real work they have been doing, then it is no wonder it is still not ready yet.
DANIEL YU am July 12
@Slidenjoy team,
Would you please keep us updated on the current development on:
Thank you.
Slidenjoy Projektgründer am July 12
@diane booth Can you send your new address in private so we can change it? Thanks! :)
