UPDATE 10 - Happy Holidays!!!
Here's some updates about our progress!
For the last month and a half we've been editing the film on and off. Right now it's a rough cut, but we're getting more and more happy with it every day. We are still missing some shots, and all the miniature work of course.
Speaking of miniatures we finally got some "presents" for Christmas that will boost our production value!
Our Ditogear Motion Control Evolution slider arrived! It has 3 axis of movement: slide, pan and tilt, and also a separate servo that can be used for zoom or focus.
We've made some tests and we're reeeeealy happy with the possibilities we now have and the camera moves we are now able to do. Here's a test we did to find out just how precise it is and will the footage match after many passes:
We also got a 3D Printer that will help us in detailing the miniature buildings, and it's been working non stop for the past few weeks.
We are modeling the miniature parts in a 3d program and are slowly building a "library" of assets we can print and glue all over the building surfaces. It's awesome!!!
In other news, we also managed to squeeze in a couple of days of scoring with our composer Tim Žibrat and we made a HUGE chunk of music. But more about all that in the upcoming video diary.
And all that's left is to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with our "Slice of Life - Christmas Special" greeting card/poster thing! :D
