Great to see our film coming together!!!! Are we thinking September release at this point? I’m a fan of taking longer to get it just right, so no worries. Just trying to manage my excitement! With films like Upgrade doing so well, I’m hoping that the powers that be see there is a market for this content. Hoping this project is a springboard for you guys.

Fabulous, awesome, fantastic, marvellous, incredible, dope, insane, beautiful, magnificent and cool.

    4. Fernando Jasso

Awesome! Thanks for the update I understand it take time away from the project to do these video updates so appreciate the time you guys take in putting this together. You guys are super talented love the 3D Models keep up the great work!

@Nilz Fuhrmann: Hey Nilz! We're editing and filming all the time so most days are the same and not spectacular in any way. But I'll do an update these days with the schedule and plans, no problemo. ;)

    6. Nilz Fuhrmann on

Hey guys, I think it would be interesting to see something like a shooting schedule just to get an impression what you're up to in the next time. It's not that I want to put pressure on you - to be honest I did almost forget that I backed this, so a few weeks more wouldn't matter.

    7. Julius Film Creator on

@Matthew Agler: hey!! We're spending toooons of time in the editing. Trying to cut the movie down a little bit, remove the unnecessary bits. Also, we're preparing for the miniature shoot by building more buildings. A new video update coming soooon!

How are things? I see that the July date will likely move. Just wondering how things are progressing.

    9. Hotchip on

Thank you for your, as always, speedy response and direct answers. No problem with the delay I'm really glad you guys got the stretch goals and were able to put all the extra time and work in! I look forward to watching it when it comes.

    10. Julius Film Creator on

@Hotchip; Hey! You didn't miss out the survey, we still have to send it out. Well, apart from the film there is a tremendous amount of material to prepare for the perks. The documentary and featurettes for the dvd/bluray, writing the making of book, etc. We started producing some of these things but with the work still needed to be done on the film the July shipping will likely have to move. But no worries, we'll keep you guys updated all the time! Thanks ;)

    11. Hotchip on

Hey guys, looks like you’re going very well with production. How likely is the July shipping going to be happening? I also never got a survey asking what format I wanted the movie in (DVD/Blu-Ray) did I miss that or is that still coming out for people?

Thanks lads, keep up the good work!

    12. Julius Film Creator on

@Matthew Agler: Thanks man! Yeah, I guess it's much cheaper and faster to churn out CGI for them, especially for shows with new episodes every week. But CGI ages fast, miniatures from the 80's still look good today :D Let's hope Slice will look good in 2040, haha! :D

Model from the new CNC looks great. Backed you because I love that you are doing it this way instead of a bunch of CGI. I remember when we were excited to see CGI in our shows because it could do stuff that didn’t look as good before that. Babylon 5 is an example. Now I feel sad that it is all done digital and the crafting is gone. So happy to support someone keeping this art alive.

I'm very impressed what another fan from original blade runner did: blade runner 9732, a virtual tour inside deckard's apartment. Sublime, you have to try it! :)

I cannot wait to see this!!

@Peta Jäger: Hey Peta! We've been busy with the film and some other work, but we'll post a new "holiday" update in a couple of days, no worries! :D Happy holidays to you toooooo!!!!

    25. Peta Jäger on

Hi Julias Film, could you provide any news? Happy holidays...

    26. Julius Film Creator on

@Fernando Jasso: Yeaaah, we're slowly working our way through the unpredictable worlds of filmmaking! :D We are editing these days, and there will be an update from the workshop too pretty soon.

Thanks a lot for your wishes! We wish you and everybody else happy holidays too! ;)

    27. Fernando Jasso

Hope you guys are doing great and things are coming along with Slice of Life. Happy Holidays and best of wishes to you and your Family's.

    28. Peta Jäger on

@Julius Film Now that Blade Runner 2049 sucked big time, your movie will be the real part 2. Can't wait to see it.

    29. Julius Film Creator on

@Hotchip: haha, a much shorter Directors cut! That would be a first, right? :D we agree, def too long.

    30. Hotchip on

RE Blade Runner 2049.. it had a lot of potential but kind of wasted it. Scenes in the movie that made no sense, a protagonist that was just downright weird and superfluous exposition that could have been cut around 45-1h shorter. I think it liked it but I'd want to see a much shorter.. directors 'cut'.. heh

    31. Julius Film Creator on

@Blind Thierry: hehe, well let's just say it's OK, but there are some things that weren't really our cup of tea, so we still prefer the beautiful original! :)

    32. Missing avatar

      Blind Thierry on

So, what do the creators think about Blade Runner 2049 ? ;)

    33. Julius Film Creator on

@Hotchip: Oh yeeeeah! Blade Runner + Slice of Life + Scotch night sounds niiiiiice! :D Thanks a lot man!

    34. Hotchip on

Well done on meeting and exceeding all goals. Happy to see such a passionate group get the money to make something special. I am really looking forwards to holding the Blu Ray of this and having a Blade Runner/Slice of Life (and Scotch) night when you're done, with my friends!

I did communicate with my bank for error that is happening on the payment of the pledge for Slice of Life and they told me that the activity declared to the account Holder (Kicksatarter) is Food, Clothing, etc. But due to the capital control that are imposed in Greece, this kind of category cannot be transactionned outside the country.

Now, I did ask to check the 2 other pledge that were already payed and told me that they were falling to another category when transactionned (Computer and software). So I have to ask. Do I let the pledge fall or can you do something for this project ?
