Frequently Asked Questions
The project is by Sleeve Kings, a subsidiary of Imperial Publishing Inc. Imperial Publishing was started in late 2018 by Seth Hiatt. Yes Seth is also the CEO of Mayday Games.
This venture is totally separate from Mayday Games. Mayday will continue to sell sleeves and launch new games just as it always has. But Sleeve Kings is a different brand completely and a whole new company.
Seth teamed up with a new factory and together they developed a whole new process for producing card sleeves, so it is totally separate from Mayday.Last updated:
Can I double or triple my pledge if I want more sleeves but you don't have a specific pledge level for the # I want?
Absolutely! If you want 15 packs just pledge at the $10 level but put in $30 for 3 times the number of sleeves. If you want 200 packs just double the $150 pledge level. We will have to charge you more shipping than that base pledge level but the full double/triple cost. We will assign those costs for extra shipping after the KS is over and we are doing the pledge manager, but for sure please feel free to add more.
You can also add +$5 for an extra playmat and each backer can have up to two playmats this way, so +$10 would be for two of the sleeve finder mats.Last updated:
It is 280 X 205 MM. You can print it out now without having to wait for a physical copy in your hands as we have a high-res link to it on the main Kickstarter Page.Last updated:
I want to pledge for a specific bundle or to back for 10 packs or some other increment of packs that aren't offered, what can I do?
Don't worry! We have you covered. If you want a specific bundle just note the sku and # of packs. After the campaign is over we will send out surveys that will allow you to fill in how many of each pack you want. You will also be given the opportunity to add MORE card sleeve packs than you pledged for at that point, you just pay the difference. It is a very straightforward process and will be easy!
It will all make sense when the survey is sent out about 2 weeks after the campaign ends. That should be happening around mid-December.Last updated:
There is quite a bit of discussion of this over here:
The short answer is that sticky sleeves over time will depend on the level of humidity/heat where you live and the natural oils you and other players have on their hands. Eating snacks while playing will certainly add to the problem.
In the end you can always clean your sleeves with a damp cloth and let them dry before putting them back in a deck. Compressing sleeves into too small a space will also cause this problem.
Since the vast majority of board and card game sleeves are chemically identical (acid free and 100% polypropylene), this problem isn't any better or worse with Sleeve Kings Sleeves than with any other brand.
We suggest storing your games in a cool, dry place and to wash your hands with soap before playing to minimize the "sticky" effect.Last updated:
If you are a Diamond Backer you can fill out your survey and get 50 of the packs when you fill it out and 50 packs later. We don't charge extra shipping for this bonus action!
Of course if you simply don't fill out the survey then we don't know what to send you so we can't send you anything so you could delay your whole shipment by just not filling it in. We will end the survey 3 months after the post-campaign survey opens though so if you want your shipment delayed past March 15, 2019 you'd better contact us and work that out. We don't mind holding your pledge a little longer but don't want people coming back a year after the campaign wondering where the sleeves are, you need to tell us what you want so we can deliver it.
Any pledges with no survey after 90 days after we open the pledge manager will be considered donations. Of course if you are in the diamond level you have up to 12 months to claim the other portion of your reward. If you are "double diamond" you can take just 50 packs now and the other 150 later down the road too but also within 12 months. Great question!Last updated:
