Frequently Asked Questions
OK, I backed this project, now how to I tell you what sleeves I want and can I change my mind later?
All you need to do is back for X number of sleeves, be it 5, 25, 50 or 100, that is ALL you have to worry about for now. Once the campaign is over then we will send you a post-campaign survey where the magic happens, you'll be able to see how many packs you have pledged for and a list of all 30+ skus so you can mix/match whatever sleeves you want.
You will also see a list of "bundles" for specific games. Say you pledged for 25 packs of sleeves and want to sleeve Middara, you can add that bundle to your cart and boom... those 9 packs will be in your cart and you will be able to continue selecting your other 16 packs from there. You can select your rewards by SKU/Pack or you can do it by Bundle, whatever is better for you.
Not sure how many you will need? Pledge your best guess and you can always change it later! During the post-campaign survey you will have the option to "double" your pledge or even jump to a higher pledge level if you prefer. It will be easy, the main thing is to pledge now while the campaign is still open, you won't be able to just pledge $1 and still jump into a survey and get sleeves, you need to be at least a "High Five" backer to get sleeves on the campaign.Last updated:
Not sure what sleeves to get? You can quickly find what size sleeves your game needs via BGG's sleeve recommendation Geeklist, to find it just search BGG for the game in question, open that games BGG page, then on the main menu right below the large blue area at the top of the page you will see "Overview... Ratings... Forums..." etc... Go to the very far right "More" area and select that, then select "Geeklists". From there hit the Sort by "Hot" instead of "Recent" at the top of all geeklists mentioning that game. The top hit will be "Card Sleeve Sizes for Games". Hit that link and it will jump you right to that game and what sizes of cards that game has. Boom.. you are done! You can also access Mayday Games handy "Sleeves by Game" spreadsheet that can be found at:
That will get you the sizes of cards and number of cards for 4000+ popular games quite quickly. Then you can just cross reference that to our Sku list at:
You say 8810 for poker size cards (63.5x88.9) but 8810 show 63.5x88. This seems like it won't fit. To fit 63.5x88.9, I think it would need to be slightly wider (like 64 or 65 at least) and definitely taller (89 or 90mm).
The stated dimensions for our sleeves are of the cards the sleeves are intended to fit. if you get it even just a tiny bit too small then cards won't fit, which is WAY worse than having the sleeves just a bit too big. For this reason our sleeves have an extra 1-1.5 MM of play in both length and width, both to accommodate small variances in production and to allow slightly larger cards to still fit in the sleeves. 63.5 X 88.9 or 64 X 89 cards will fit in our sku SKS-8810 just fine. In fact many companies just call their sleeves 2.5 X 3.5 Inches for simplicity's sake or even show their sleeves as 66 X 91, which is of course way, way larger than the average US Poker size card. It all comes down to how you want to present them and we choose to show the actual size of the card for the dimensions, but the sleeves will be a bit larger for extra protection and to accommodate larger cards.Last updated:
I am considering Platinum and would also like to change the mat for a couple of sleeves packs. Perhaps you could make it a universal option for new backers?
Yes, anyone not wanting the mat at the higher levels can take 2 extra packs of sleeves instead for sure! That will be a choice during the post campaign survey process.Last updated:
Will i be able to add a couple more pack or bundle to my pledge in the pledge manager or i would only able to double my pledge tier?
Yes, you can add any number of extra sleeves you want post campaign. So if you back for 25 packs of sleeves but want 29 packs, no problem, just pay the extra shipping and cost per pack on the extra 4 packs. Want 37 packs? Sure, that is ok too. Any number of packs you want you can get and you can even increase your pledge to a higher pledge level post campaign if you want to get your cost per pack down after the project is over.
It will all be handled post campaign during the pledge manager process.Last updated:
I would like to check out the sleeve mat in advance so I can see what sleeve sizes I need, can you send me one?
Better than sending you one, just go save the PDF version to your computer and print it out with no scaling on the printout and you can check it out yourself, it is at:
