About this project
What is Eeto, and why Kickstarter?
Eeto is a simple and powerful iOS app that allows you to easily visualize important milestones on a timeline. Unlike most calendars, Eeto provides a clear understanding of how far into the future your next major event is. We call these events “milestones”. Most calendars only offer a day, week, month or basic year view, but with Eeto’s unique design, you can view your entire future on one colorful, infinite timeline.
Currently, Eeto is still just a working prototype with basic functionality. However, we fully understand what it’ll take to make a production-ready version that includes awesome features.
If you pledge, and we meet our goal, THE APP WILL BE FREE.
We love the Kickstarter community. Kickstarter’s backers know great products. We feel strongly that you, the users, will love using Eeto. We’ve been using the prototype and it’s greatly improved our personal and professional productivity. Like in all our previous experiences, nothing is more important to us than our users. By backing this project, we can show that there are people like us that want and need an app like Eeto. And with your help, we’ll get the resources we need to make this app a reality, so we can get it into your hands.
Eeto is designed to create events in the form of "milestones".
Milestones can be: Personal goals - Sales goals - Release schedules - Delivery deadlines - Development Cycles and Sprints - Monthly Routines
Eeto’s 2.0 features:
- Easy to use interface - Beautiful, but useful design - “Milestone” system, to clearly recognize important events - Color coordinated events/milestones - Scrolling navigation - Export a single month or multiple months to PDF - Export different event categories to PDF - Email PDFs to share or print - Unique landscape view - Supports weekly, biweekly, monthly, or yearly events - Set multiple reminders before events - Import native iOS calendar events
Eeto’s Version 3.0 features:
- Import Gmail calendar events - Sharing between Eeto users via Facebook or Gmail
What’s our plan:
Phase 1: Turn our prototype into a production ready version. We will call this Version 1.0. This requires finishing design phases, product requirements, development, and quality assurance.
Phase 2: Version 2.0, adding Export features, stabilizing code, and beta & field testing.
Phase 3: Release Version 2.0! Once Version 2.0 is complete, we will submit it to the iOS App Store so you can download it! This is the version that matters, the first one for you!
Phase 4 Begin development of Version 3.0, adding additional features like sharing between Eeto users via Facebook or Gmail, and importing calendars.
Phase 5 Stabilizing Version 3.0 code, beta & field testing, followed by Version 3.0 Release
Final Phase Future features, continued maintenance, and regular updates!
As a team of experienced designers and engineers, we know what it takes to build and maintain a high-quality, custom application. Designing a fantastic user experience is not easy, and building it is even more challenging, but that’s what we’re setting out to do. We want users to feel right at home when using Eeto, keeping it simple but powerful. Our designer has over 10 years of experience, our developers have over 15 years of experience, and both teams have being working on iOS since its release. We are not looking to build a basement-quality app. We are looking to build something stable and dependable for our users, and develop a business model where we can maintain it’s quality as we roll out new features and functionality. Additionally, we want to prepare ourselves for your feedback. This means taking your ideas and criticisms, and using them to improve the product.
To do this, we need to use our own resources full-time. These expenses include:
- Developers, Designer, Testing, Web Hosting, Developer Fees, Marketing, Legal fees, Maintenance
What if we raise more than $30,000? First of all, this would be incredible, and great thanks are in order! Any additional funding will be used to spend more resources on building Eeto into an even more powerful app. More design and development resources would mean faster turn around times, which would mean accelerated production on all fronts. If we surpass our goal, you’ll see an even better app, faster. We have tons of future features in mind, and we'll certainly share those with you when the time comes.
Android users, we didn’t forget about you! We are also looking into creating an Android version of Eeto as well.
We are giving all backers a free version of the app, AND a koozie! Who doesn't want a koozie?

Risks and challenges
We’re extremely experienced in software and product development. That’s what each member of our team has done in our own careers. However, we would never forget to acknowledge that there are some risks in any project. Luckily we’re very prepared, but there’s only so much we can do. Security is always a concern when making software that holds personal information. Again, our users are most important to us, so we need to take extra precaution that our app is safe and secure for you. App store submission can be a pretty tricky thing. When submitting an iOS app, there is a review process that is quite rigorous. In the event that the app is denied on submission, we will do everything we can to correct the issue and re-submit. In the odd case of any legal mishaps, we do have legal professionals who can help us through any hiccups. We really want to get this app to you guys.
There are always risks, and unknowns, but we will do our best to keep our backers informed every step of the way. If anything comes up, you’ll be the first to know.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
