Please note: The exact text and art used in the game is subject to change before printing. We don't foresee this happening, but we're not wizards.
The player who bought dinner for someone else most recently starts the game as the executive. Each round, everyone else at the table is trying to pitch a movie idea to the executive.
To do this, every writer draws either three character cards, or three plot cards, and chooses one card to use as the base of their movie. Then when it's their turn to pitch, the writer draws a random card to complete their movie. Check out this fancy GIF for an illustration of how this works:
As soon as the writer draws their random card, they read their cards aloud, and then have 45 seconds to pitch their movie.
But at any point during the pitch, the executive can stop the timer and interrupt to add some terrible ideas of their own.
After every player has pitched their movie, the executive decides which movie they liked the best. The player that pitched the winning movie becomes rich and famous, and gets a point!
To play with a large group, split players into pairs at the start of the game.
To pitch a movie as a team, one person draws a hand of three character cards, while the other draws a hand of three plot cards. Both players select the card they want to use in the pitch, but may not discuss anything with their partner.
When it's their turn to pitch, each member of the team reveals their cards and must immediately work together to pitch their movie.
Be warned though, in a 6 - 12 player game the executives play on teams as well. This means that each movie will have two note cards added to it during the pitch.
And one last thing. If you have an odd number of players, the odd person out has two options. They can either be on a team by themself, and create their movies using the rules for the 3 - 5 player game, or they can join another team and be a team of three.
If you want to add an individual expansion to your pledge, just manually add $15 to your pledge amount.
At the end of the campaign, you'll be asked to confirm your rewards. At this point you can allocate the extra $15 to whichever expansion you want.
PLEASE NOTE: The NC-17 deck is ONLY available as an add-on.

If you want more horrible movie ideas in your life, you can find us on social media on all the platforms below.
During the campaign we’re planning to host a few contests and giveaways through these channels, so stay tuned for some awesome stuff!
Kickstarter is great for a project like this because it allows us to interact directly with fans and accurately gauge the interest in a new game.
This means that instead of just ordering a small print run with no bells and whistles, we can see how the campaign goes and add all kinds of cool stuff like more cards, bonus expansions, an upgraded box, and all kinds of other stuff that we couldn’t justify with a direct to retail launch.
It also allows us to interact directly with backers and let everyone have a voice in the finished product. And to top it all off, the price you pay at during the Kickstarter is cheaper than the game will be at retail.
So for helping us figure out the demand for this new game, by supporting the game, you get a ton of exclusive goodies, you get the game before everyone else, and you don’t pay as much as you would for people that get the game at retail.
And if you have any more questions though, about the game, the campaign, our favorite movies, or anything else, feel free to leave your comments below and we’ll get back to you as quick as we can. And thanks for checking out the game!
