Leaning back on Skroller enables you to steer with your centre of balance providing a full sensation of comfort, stability and control over the motion.
Skroller connects your body to the pole of the scooter activating it as an integral part of the center of balance. That’s right, you can now shift your weight to the sides while turning which makes the ride smoother and safer, feeling in control of each turn, even when hands free!
Folded or not, your ride will look stunning with Skroller. Minimalist lines, custom colors and subtle details define our backrest as a true masterpiece. But what really makes it unique is how it's engineered.
Skroller works by means of a band with a comfy cushion that you can easily fasten around your waist. The internal mechanism is designed to retrieve the band automatically as you get closer to the pole, so you can confidently lean back, relax and adjust it on-the-go by simply pressing the button on top of Skroller, as you no longer need both hands to keep balance.
Skroller‘s stainless steel core, thick band and lab-tested attachment link to the scooter make it incredibly resistant to all kind of shocks.

Skroller opens up a whole new world of possibilities only restrained by your fantasy. Common actions that seemed impossible and dangerous while riding without Skroller, like wearing an umbrella, signalling a turn or even juggling are now at will, in a comfortable and easy way.

The pursuit of growing Skroller from an flashing idea into a patent and a world-wide known device has been incredibly thriving and fulfilling, but also time and money demanding. Sadly, only one of those can be substituted with caffeine and all our savings are already invested in this adventure, so we need an extra push to launch mass production.
We consider engaging with the amazing community of early adopters here and getting everyone's feedback and ideas is the only way forward now, so we trust you in helping us reach our goals.
Risks and challenges
Design: We know re-inventing, re-making, re-modeling or re-furbishing can be quite tough. But designing something that has never existed besides our dreams, was definitely our biggest challenge. Therefore prototyping something without really knowing if it was going to work, our biggest risk.
Engineering and manufacturing: As with any smart hardware project, there are natural risks and challenges to deal with, but we're confident in our ability to overcome them all. We've done our best to minimize risks for backers, we've completed our design for manufacturing (DFM) and have completed three generations of prototypes. In addition, we've already chosen our contract manufacturer and have agreements with the key suppliers. Our team is experienced in the manufacturing field, and we're sure that we can meet our deadlines. We've worked hard on testing the pre-production units and preparing the production line, so we don't foresee delays and unexpected errors.
However, unexpected delays can occur due to manufacturing issues or component shortages. We'll do our best to be as transparent as possible and keep you informed, and work hard to resolve any issues as they may arise.
