Skinja is an action/comedy where we marry the art of competitive pole dancing and the art of ninjutsu to create Strip Fu.
We taught a pole dancer to fight. Now's she's a stripper by night, ninja by later that night.
Dear Backers and Supporters,
LAST WEEK! Please Spread Word!
This is our last week and I'd like to get another two thousand dollars in. The project has grown so much since I posted a funding goal of $3500. I knew it wouldn't be enough, but I thought it was attainable. Little did I know how much support was out there and how many people wanted to be apart of this.
I'd like to be able to get everyone on the project paid something. If we can hit between 7000-7500, just another couple grand this week, I can make that happen. Heck if we go over 7500 I might be able to buy my very patient and wonderful producer/girlfriend lunch.
I can't believe we hit our goal in 2 days! I feel like a non-denominational Christmas miracle happened in March. You've given me, the entire cast, and crew a huge boost to our spirits and a ton of breathing room. I'd like to start Phase 2 of the Skinja funding. I never thought we'd be able to do it, but if we raise $7,000 we'll be able to have a real post production budget. Skinja's going to look great, but it's going to look incredible with special effects, a score, and polished sound design for the fight scenes. All I care about is bringing you the best, most imaginative, and well realized Skinja possible. Please keep the donations coming in. Remember the phrase is not Mo' Money, Mo' Problems. It's Mo' Money, Mo' Ninjas.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your donations and support.
Love Dan & Team Skinja
Skinja is about a stripper by night, ninja by later that night. She's a single mom who had her kids taken by the city when they found out she was a stripper and a ninja. Now she has to get them back the only way she knows how...with karate. On top of that she has to deal with a murderous Baby Daddy, the mob, a Wushu assassin, and her Skinsei, the woman who taught her strip fu.
We are raising money to shoot a trailer to pitch the feature length version. Your money will go to critical needs: equipment rentals, location fees, props, costumes, and insurance. More importantly, it will allow all of these talented performers and martial artists to collaborate on this exciting project. Without your help none of this will be possible. For more information on all the performers go to: http://skinja.tumblr.com/
